Mother's Day Gift Ideas for Grandma

Does anyone here have any good ideas for neat/unique gifts to give your mom for Mother's Day from the baby? Molly is my mom's first grandchild, so I'd like to do something special for her from Molly on her first Mother's Day as a grandma.

P.S. my mom lives 5 hours away, so going to see her, take her out to lunch, etc., are out of the picture.

I'm bad...I didn't do anything super special. My mom lives 21 hours away, so we can't see her either. But I just got her a card and a giftcard. The card is from LO. I just didn't know what to get. If I see something later on, like a cute frame, jewelry or something I might get it, but I just didn't know what to do. Lol.

I ordered my mom a calendar with pics of Jaiden. You can start the calendar from any month, so I started it with May 2010.

We got both his gmas a picture frame with 3 vertical picture slots... we are going to put a picture with him and his grammy in the left slot... his foot print in the middle slot.. and a picture of just him in the third slot!!

I don't know if you have a budget or not but we got my mom a pandora charm bracelet along with a couple of charms. For holidays in the future we will just keep adding charms to the bracelet. There are lots of cute options for bead - we got one that says "I love mom"

We got shutterfly photo books as well, but MIL is coming today for a week so I'm waiting to include pictures of her visit in her book. I'm going to let her look at my mom's book before I mail it so she knows what she's getting and then we'll have it shipped to her house after the visit. Shutterfly also has photo other things. For Father's day I'm going to get my dad a mug. Also, snapfish has photo blankets which I might get my husband for father's day.

We live out of state from our parents too (although we will actually be visiting on Mothers Day this year).

But we are doing digital photo frames for the grandparents - we pre-loaded them with a few wedding and travel photos, but they are mainly of the baby. And we can mail them flash drives that they just plug in the back and new photos will run off the flash drives.

i am getting our moms and myself a dog tag photo necklace (i won mine and theirs are very reasonably priced through a local photographer--engraved photos)

grandma brag book-which i am sure she already has

coupons for special grandma things--one day of hanging out with your daughter when she comes to visit--get of out a diaper change--

I got this too. I didn't like the "decorations" that came with the kit, so I bought some sea glass to use instead.

I ordered some photo gifts from shutterfly (mousepad, magnet, etc) using pictures from his professional 3 month photos we had taken. Better make good use of that investment!

We're saving the photobooks for Christmas this year, so we can give them all "A Year Full of Molly"

The garden stepping stone is a great idea - my mom loves her flowerbeds, and it would be sweet to have something there to remind her of Molly when she's working in the beds.

Looks like I'm the only one, but we are not doing anything from the kids to their grandmother's. There is a Grandparent's day, that's when the kids will give them gifts. But that's just us.
