I haven't tried this yet, but am wondering how he'd like it. I saw some fun recipes recently for kids but I wonder if he's too young at 3 to eat it. He's fine with a spoon generally.
So is soup something you give them on a regular basis or have tried? How does it go over?

DS loves miso soup and has been eating it for a couple years now. Of course we used to feed it to him. He eats it on his own now and really doesn't make that much of a mess.
He used to eat other kinds of soup, too, but has become more and more picky and refuses all but miso.

DD loves soup.
We have one of those bowls with the straw that comes out of the bottom - she uses that most of the time. And a spoon. She's a pretty neat eater. She's been eating soup since she was 1.
My kids both like soup and they've been eating it since they first starting eating solids for the most part. I usually use a slotted spoon so they get more "stuff" and less broth, but they're still pretty good even with soupier things.
I've never done it, but I've heard of people keeping baby cereal or instant potato flakes around so that they can use them to thicken soup for a toddler to make it more spoon-friendly.
My friend picked them up for me at Kmart of all places. We use them when they eat cereal for breakfast too.
