Ok. I didn't mean to quote anyone. Not sure why it did that...

Lol at both your posts Kimber. This is what my mom tells me all the time- "I just don't know how any of you kids survived it"

Go Mom. Pregnancy, even if it comes with a little mommybrain, does not have to equal ignorant. People act like everything they do/smell/see/touch is going to be the WORST THING EVER for them and their baby. I'm not saying go out and eat a bunch of raw bottom-feeding fish or some 10 day old left open in the fridge lunch meat, but act like you've got a brain in your head and use some common sense.

    Ditto on this exactly...

I do a million variations of this.  I love tomato and sharp cheddar, tomato and swiss, tomato and avocado with olive oil, salt, and pepper...yum yum!

Tomato fresh basil and mozarella with olive oil and salt..... = pregnacy food-gasam

DH and I have grilled roma tomato, basil and mozz sandwiches at least once a week.  TO.DIE.FOR.

  • Eat a turkey sandwich! I'm a fan of turkey sandwiches.. Dr said no big deal just don't eat a pound of turkey in one sitting!

And I love tomatoes too-- but i usually just slice it up- sprinkle some pepper on it and dip it in ranch!! :)

    yes, this!

  • I eat deli sandwiches all the time, unheated and at least a hot-dog a week. Wasn't even given any warning by my OB - maybe cos I'm an 'old-timer', hehe. Good to be cautious, but you're pregnant, not in a bubble. Live a little, you and your little bean will be just fine.

So... what does that mean for the women who's OB's have ok'd cold lunch meat??????? Does that make them bad or an unfit parent because their OB has a difference of opinion and they consume cold lunch meat?????

It means they have OBs smart enough not to buy into all the BS, and who respect their patients enough not to treat them like morons.LMFAO about the parking lot bit.

My friend lost her baby at 21 weeks last year due to listeriosis. It's not BS.
