Baby Names

Cruz? other uncommon C suggestions?

we just found out we are finally pregnant again! Our first son is named Colt and we are looking for another uncommon C name. I know Colt is not everyones cup of tea and I imagine the same for the name Cruz but just looking for opinions on it, or other suggestions of uncommon C names.
thanks!
Feel free to throw girl C names out there too if you feel so inclined. :)

Re: Cruz? other uncommon C suggestions?

  • I dislike Cruz, it is more of a surname then anything.

    Chance, Cillian, Clay

Do you have to start with a C, kind of limits you?

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • it's a bizarre family tradition thing that we are naming our children with C names. If I chose a different letter I'd be the first in generations to do so, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I'd feel like I'd be dishonouring my family or something... so C names it is!
    weird, I know.

  • Cora is a pretty and not common name for a girl.

Casius? NMS, but it would definately be an uncommon boy name with a C.

  • I also really like Cora for a girl. Cash was one of our favorite "uncommon" boy names. From my soap opera I really like the name Cain. It has a bad rep from biblical standards. Not sure if religious names would bother you. GL! We do "C" names as well. DH and I are both C names as are our cats so we are doing the same with our kids. Sometimes we get flack about it but I like being a "C" family!

  • Cruz is cute!

Carter, Channing, Chauncey, Cameron, Cason, Carson, Chance, Chase

  • I like Cruz but I feel it's best suited for an Hispanic family, to me it's very ethnic.

I like Chase, Chance, Callum, Cash, Campbell and Casey.

  • Oh, I also like Channing and Carson. If you've got to stick with one letter, I think C is a good one!

I with to high school with a guy named Cruz. I liked the name, but like this poster said, I believe it is a hispanic name (he was mexican). But, it is a cute name if that doesn't bother you!

And it is too early in the morning to think of any neat "C" names, lol! And it is already 8am..

  • I have a friend named Chase, I have always really liked that name.  I also know a boy Colby and a girl Colby.

  • Chase is cute. That's my cousin's name. If my other cousin has a girl, her name will be Cora. I like Cara more though.
  • Our little guy is going to be Cash, but we had several other C names on the list:

Coy/Koi, Cane, Carter, Carson, Chase, Chet and Colt (which you already used!) Hope this helps!
