If you own an Angelcare monitor, how long are you planning to use it with LO? I can't bring myself to not use the motion detector, and I have no plans to get rid of it any time soon!
we still use it, and don't plan on stopping. I am going to use it until it drives me nuts with false alarms. I have heard people on here say they use it even with their toddlers to know if they get out of bed or not.

Funny you ask this. DS moves so much in his sleep that we've been getting false alarms because he's so far from the sensor. I just turned the movement part off 2 nights ago because the alarms were waking him up. I'm still not totally used to it and might go back...we'll see.
"You're gonna miss this
You're gonna want this back
You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
I'd use it as long as you want to, as long as LO isn't rolling off of it, causing it to alarm.
We stopped using it when DS was about 5 or 6 mos (I can't remember exactly). At that point he started moving around the crib too much, and he would set it off a couple times a night. Now we just use the video monitor.
We still use ours and probably will until the new baby comes and we'll be using it for him or her then. Unless, as pp mentioned, the false alarms start driving me crazy but we don't get many and she moves around quite a bit. DH wants to stop when she turns a year, but I'm not sure I'll be ready for it then!

Never thought of the toddler thing, thanks! Very good idea!
