Scars from abdominal incisions...please tell me they start to look better!!

My one incision from my ectopic is pretty large.  She almost had to cut me all the way across to remove my tube and the baby because it had gotten so large.  I am two and a half weeks past surgery and my incision still looks terrible.  It is all bumpy and seriously looks like she cinched my skin really tight there.  Please tell me this gets better and it won't always look like I've had fat injected above my scar.

    a year later and my c-section scar is a tiny silver line.  So they do fade.

    Ahh yes the fat above the scar look I know this well.  The good news is that this does go away and my C section scar is barely noticable now.  So sorry for what you had to go through.  Try not to worry too much, the scar will look better and the fat pocket will be gone in time.

    To be completely honest it really depends on the scar.  My c/s one is beautiful and smooth barely noticeable.  The scars from having my gallbladder removed are just little white bumps now.  The scar from having lapo done to remove my endo is awful and that surgery was 6 years ago. If I wasn't overweight I would have no problem rocking a bikini.  I see no need to cover my scars up they are a part of who I am.  I also have a very large birth on my chest and have never felt the need to cover that either.

    I had surgery to remove a uterine fibroid tumor about 6 1/2 years ago.  The incision site was very low - just above my pubic hair line.  I hated it for sooo long, but now it's barely even noticeable.  It will take time but it will get better!
