2nd Trimester

Anyone feel pain or soreness down there?

I've been feeling pain/soreness from "down there" for 2 days already...every time I get in and out of bed, climb up and down the stairs, or roll from side to side (when sleeping), it hurts.

I remember having this pain with my first pg around 35 weeks but now I'm almost 25 weeks.  No spotting or contractions.  Anyone have this?  Do you know what is causing it?

  • i was having pain like that plus pressure but mostly on the left side down there. i had my regular 4 week appt. and they told me i have some vericose veins. it sucks and hurts.

i usually feel fine during the day but at night i guess the baby puts pressure and it hurts when i lay down, sleep, get up, etc...

i don't know what has helped but i started using some tucks (just because they were sitting around) and thought, hmm...maybe that could work since it's supposed to relieve soreness, etc... i also work for an acupuncturist and got some help from him but either way, it has gotten a lot better.

i don't even know if it's what you're feeling but this has helped in case it is!

  • When I was PG with DD, I had pain down there - right around the pubic bone area....and my Dr told me I had an unstable pelvis.  She wrote me a prescription to get fitted for a prenatal cradle - I never did tho. I bought one in the store - and it helped a lot.  It holds up your belly a little and takes pressure off of your pelvis.  This time around tho, I think I will get fitted for one!
  • YES!  And like you I also remember this pain/pressure coming later on in the pregnancy.  I called my dr and they had me go in to rule out a uti.  That was ruled out, so I guess it's just the "perks" of being pregnant.  She said that since everything was stretched out already with DD, it's probably just the normal changes that happen with pregnancy.  It's really uncomforable though.
  • I've had this for WEEKS.  Some days are better than others and its exactly what you are describing.  I was checked out twice and I guess its just normal pains, some people get them more than others.  It especially hurts when I have to pee.
  • This is my first baby and I have had exactly this for the last few weeks. I was going to ask about it at my next appointment.
