I'm thinking about using a doula this time around since I had so much tearing and damage last time. I was wondering if anyone in the No VA area used one that they really liked. I'm going to have another epi but am hoping perineal massage will keep things from tearing too badly. TIA
I am using Claudia Booker. My interaction with her so far has been great! But since I have not given birth yet I can't speak to my experience once in labor. Her site is: https://birthinghandsdc.com/
My Bradley instruction was also a doula and I thought she was amazing as well. Not sure if she services NoVa and she is also expecting due in July so I am not sure when she will stop working but you can also check her out if you want. I know she is very for perineal massage and encouraged it all the time in our class. https://www.birthdiva.com/services.htm#doula

thanks for the info, it looks like it might be perfect. It is apparently really hard to find a doula who will assist with a medicated birth and it looks like she does. Thanks again
