or maybe its my own ignorance. I've been feeling what I thought was cramping related to AF for the past two weeks. I've also felt what was "phantom leaking" that each time I believed was AF. But it hasnt been. But I've also felt naseous every other day. Anyway, I told a test today that was positive but I'm still cramping...is this normal? I'm starting to think it was a false positive...

So you have a late period and a positive pregnancy test. How is your body playing tricks on you? You're pregnant.
Congratulations.
This is a new one....I didn't know that all you had to do was just tell the test to be positive, and it would be positive! Excellent!
ETA: AF symptoms can mimic pregnancy symptoms and visa versa. If the test said you are pregnant, you are pregnant.
If the test was positive then you are pregnant. Congratulations. There is a board on here for newly pg women called "First Trimester" (points to the first link on the left-hand side). Have fun. Happy & healthy 9 months to you.

You are too sweet for words Sulfa.
Yes OP you are pregnant if the test was positive. Congrats. I am sure the cramps are normal but since I have not been pregnant before I am not sure. I bet the ladies on 1st trimester would be a great resource for you.

Lots of love and luck to my PAIF/3T/IF Veteran ladies, especially my dear friend Zookie. Congrats to Papps, Teach84 and Starbuck on their little ones.
Haha *tackles Papps*
False positives are extremely rare. Usually, if someone gets a "positive" and is not pregnant, they read the test outside of the appropriate amount of time. The "positive" wouldn't really be a positive, but would instead be an evaporation line. I would think that if your period is late and you have a positive test, you're pregnant. If you think the cramping is your body playing tricks on you, many women experience some cramping at the beginning of a pregnancy.
GL to you!
Oh we are. We are just liquored up right now. Enjoy 1st tri.
Hahaha! This.
