I was just thinking of this a couple days ago and last night HAD to go have my favorite garlic and feta fries! I told MH we will have to learn how to make them when that time comes
I think drinking outside would be what I miss most! I love a margarita, chardonnay or anything cold outside on a deck/patio/beer garden or whatever.
I totally agree about the soft cheeses and I am adding sushi to my list.

You can eat those cheeses. Unless you special order them from another country, they are required by law to be pasteurized. You can also eat hot dogs, deli meat, lord what's the rest of the crazy list?
Cigarettes (I'm trying to quit and succeeding for the most part), Booze & pot. I am trying to quit all smoking now. I have greatly reduced my consumption so hopefully by the time I get my BFP (whenever that is) I won't miss it at all.
Most soft cheese are pasteurized, so I will inspect the ingredients and enjoy that, Thank God.

Confession: DH and I both smoke. Last month we both quit for 4 days. Granted, we aren't TTC (or TTA) currently but I really wanted to be done before we began TTC in June/July. Optimally, we should have quite as soon as we began considering TTC. I refuse to be a mom who either smokes around their child or who is constantly trying to hide it from their LO.

Really? That's weird because Trader Joe's and Whole Foods do have their fair share of unpasteurized milk cheeses. At least they clearly label.
Yeah
They are imported. That is why.
There is a local farm that makes the most amazing goat cheese. Normally, I'm not a fan at all but this stuff is out of control. Of course, it is un-pasteurized. I live in an area where I am close enough to a city and in the midst of farm land that I can get pretty much anything I want. I'll definitely skip the UP goat cheese tho
This too. Though I usually only want them while drinking, so that problem pretty much solves itself.
So this. I quit months ago, but I still want one when I drink. If I ever get PG, I don't think I'll ever get the urge to smoke because I won't be drinking.
Hmm, is it really that big a deal to eat imported feta while pregnant? Unless someone makes a strong case against it I'll still plan to if it ever happens. My Dad's an importer and we grew up eating it a lot.

It mostly illegal to import unpasteurized cheeses and milks, but it is not illegal in all states to make/sell them. So, if a cheese maker in a region where it is legal makes unpasteurized cheeses, then you will likely find them on the shelves in those areas.

Oh lawd, it is amazing. Idk. I think there is a lot of hype about a lot of things. With that being said, when most of us were conceived, most of these rules never existed. I am not saying we should take the chance but it kind of makes me wonder.
Re: PG no-no's...
beer and wine.
most soft cheeses in the US are pasteurized.
No one can make me give up feta
I'm going to miss the occasional cigarette.

Beer and wine are another, of course.
(My mom says she had two glasses of wine every Saturday while she was pg with me - Yikes.) ::twitch, twitch::
The best feta isn't made in the US, though

Cheese is made from pasteurized milk in the US. It is safe.
I only missed my diet Mountain Dew. I ate deli meat, drank diet Coke, and ate fruit rollups like they were going out of style.
I really really am going to miss ibuprofen again. Tylenol doesn't do jack crap for my headaches.
(I don't eat sushi or drink, so neither of those will be an issue for me)
Off the top of my head, smoked sea food.

This. And the occasional cigarette. I smoke socially with my girlfriends every once in awhile.
Diet coke.
Not that a small amount is that horrible. But my habit by no means resembles moderation. Especially when stressed.

Me too...
DH has promised to play by the rules too, but we'll see how that goes. ::rolls eyes::

Nothing, they just aren't that healthy. A whole box of them would get shoved down my gullet in about 2 days.
LOL! I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was in them that they would be bad!
