AF was due yesterday and since she didn't come I got pretty excited and POAS today. Test was defective, nothing registered.

Then AF showed up after I got out of the shower. I should give up and move on but I'm trying to convince myself it's implantation bleeding. I know, I just need to move on. I will tomorrow.

There is a difference between being snarky and being a b1tch. Snarky = smart with the comebacks. B1tchy = b1tchy. IMHO, you don't fall into the b1tchy category. BlairWaldorf = Snarky. That's my basis. The Bump really is all about WWBD? (What would Blair do?) Stick out tongue

I'm not saying that because I'm bitter (I've never met any Bumpies IRL except Justine when she did our maternity photos), it just seems like they end up excluding more people than not.

I really dont think there was any need for people to feel left out. Nothing was stopping everyone from replying and picking whoever they want! Especially since only 8 people even replied out of maybe 50+ bumpies we have on this board. I do think people are more apt to pick people that they do know in real life because while I dont know if x, y and z are super crafty, or have a hidden talent, or whatever. I do know that Justine is an excellent photographer, Melody is super nice, and Pixel has awesome hair, and that is because I have met them in real life! I'm sorry you felt left out Annette, but you should know I think you're awesome!

While I am on this board to swap parenting info, I am also here because a lot of these ladies are friends of mine in real life, and when all I do all day long is talk about and think about my baby, sometimes I want to just have a little fun with my friends.

I've had myself SO convinced that I was going to be put on standby today that as I'm sitting here waiting for a phone call (with only about 1/2 an hour left for them to call) that I've put myself in a foul mood and don't even want to imagine having to work tonight. Seriously, I'm mentally and physically drained. My back is killing me and I feel like I need a night to just sit at home and watch TV!

I agree - it's easier to remember the people you've met because, let's be honest...there are a zillion Bumpies on this board. I thought it was funny because there were people who I haven't interacted with and I got to see their nominated talents, and then I got to see the snoopy dress. I'm sorry that people felt left out, because I hate that feeling - people have actually cut down on a lot of these things because of those kinds of sentiments, but I've missed them, so I spent the 20 minutes to fill it out.

Yup. I see pictures of the awesome random daytime/early evening GTGs that people have and it makes me feel bad because I wasn't invited. But I don't blame them for having GTGs. I know that those 3 months where it's just me and the kids I'll have to get out of the house at some point and I fully expect the Bumpies to help me out on that. ::gives everyone the eye:: And I know they will.

100% this. There are plenty of posts I don't open or read for this reason. A large majority of us know each other really well. To me, this board has become more of a place where a bunch of my friends hang out and shoot the ish.

1. I'm trying to come up with a valid excuse to avoid spending the night in a hotel tomorrow for my friend's bachelorette party. I know I will end up being on the floor, and I'm not ready to tell her that I'm pregnant yet, because she's the kind of gal who will feel like I'm stealing her thunder on HER big night, and H doesn't want to tell anyone until after our appt. on Monday. I also only enjoy one other person who will be there, since the other BM's are not my type of people (and I have tried really hard to get to know them).

2. I'm feeling like a bad mommy because I am terrible about drinking enough water. I forget about it all day long while I'm teaching, and usually barely get in 8 glasses a day, which is way more than I got pre-pg, but not as much as my dr. would like.

3. I will have to post this one later. I thought of it last night and cannot remember it.

I side glance at other parents when they cover up their infant's hands with those stupid mittens or something else. Cut or file their nails - don't rob them of feeling things when they can see so little or want suck on their fingers. Any scratches will heal w/ in a day particularly with a little breastmilk on them. I also hate it when car seats are covered up entirely with a blanket - bahhhh give them some fresh air!!!! Car seats on top of the shopping cart - SO NOT SAFE! They can be knocked off of them one way or another. Put it in the cart or wear the baby, I do it everytime I go grocery shopping w/ 2 kids.

I have a hard time not telling people in Babies R Us that half the crap they are shopping for, scanning for a registry or is already loaded in their cart is nothing they need or is in fact just a crap product.

Now that I have "said" these things, I can let them go back to just taking care of my own kids. Sigh.

Confession: I didnt even know about the poll and had to look back and read thru. I am cracking up that a few people put me for MILF. lol. I am so not like that irl, but that's what I get for having bikini pics on the interwebz.

Also, I am convinced that this baby is coming early (i.e. sometime between 39 weeks and due date) and if she goes overdue I am seriously going to cry. I am SO DONE being pg, I want DH to get the snip asap, but people keep telling me to wait in case we want more, etc etc. I feel like the only one who doesnt enjoy being pg. And the main reason (no offense to those with more than 2, this is just about my and DH's marriage) I dont want any more kids is because I am too scared that it would ruin our marriage. But I cant really say that to people, lol.

I can't say that to more than my mom and my sister...Emmeline is my baby girl, and I love her unconditionally, but there are times I've had a hard time adapting to marriage and a kid. The first year was so hard for me, and I don't think I'm a good enough person to do it with two.

And I think people that to you because of your gorgeous family.

I love polls, especially when they are more of "getting to know you" type and NOT baby related. But I think there is a difference between a poll and an "award".

I have danced on top of a bar and have witnessed my grandma take a shot off a young guy's lap.

I thought it was hilarious when DH had Court screeching last night (aka laughing). Now at 2 pm when I have a headache? Not so adorable. But I love that kid and will take screeches and all.

My parents are coming up today and while I did clean a little, there is still so much I could have done. Do I plan to finish in the next 2 hours before they arrive? Probably not.

We have a really healthy, happy marriage and are super close. I'd even say we are sort of eww-gross-too-cute close sometimes. But after all this time I still, really, really, really like the guy. A lot. I worry that throwing a kid in will screw that up.

Also - I just want to give a big group hug to the gals who were upset about the poll earlier this week. I like you all very, very much. Today is DH's 40th birthday. We're having a party for him tonight at the bar, but I don't have anything for him. Nothing. Money's tight and we promised each other earlier this year that we wouldn't spend money on birthday gifts, but it feels really, really wrong to not have anything for him.

What happened to flame free?? I was just agreeing with the fact that those type of polls that specifically call out certain people for being "great"....make some people feel less than great. I certainly was not saying I didn't feel liked or asking anyone to tell me I'm great.

I love Carter more than words can explain but I'm over the throwing up and major poops we have been having all day. It sucks. It's all over me and the bed.

I finally convinced H that it isn't a bad thing to shop at thrift and consignment stores for Carter. My ploy was so that I could go and hunt out the deals for me as well and hide the goods in my stuff that I already have and pull the "Oh Hunny I've had that for years!" line.

I have sweaty pits. because of this I seldom wear white shirts, the stains! Today I couldnt help myself and bought the cutest white tank at Target and I am now already starting to fret about how to keep the pits from yellowing and I wont even be wearing the shirt until summer!

Starbucks changed thier Frappuccino light and it tastes like ass! I wrote Starbucks a email telling them how much it sucked, but then I kissed ass and told them that the new recipe was better in WW points then the old light. I am hopeing that 1) lots of people complain and they change it back (unlikely) and 2) they will send me some free drink coupons so I can "try it again"

Eli is obsessed with my boobs and bras. He calls them my booms. today at Target we were walking throught the clothes and he saw the bra section. He ran over there started touching and rubbing the bras talking about mommies booms tothe guy restocking that department. I could have died, Think Eli is going to be a boobman when he gets older?
