  • 1.  I really want to try KFC's Double Down.   Like, a lot.

    2.  This is more of a peeve - The new Volkswagon commercials bother me.  The game is slug-a-BUG, not slug-a-JETTA.

    3.  I'm really really happy at how DH has stepped up recently.  He's started researching baby stuff, he's talking to one of his co-workers who has twins and he bought "The Happiest Baby on the Block" because another co-worker recommended it.  He even said last night that, since he's going to be watching them from Wed-Fri after I go back to work, he'll get up on Tues-Thurs nights when they cry so I can sleep.  Maybe that should have gone in the Thankful Thursday.

  • I am super peeved about how much time my hubby is spending dealing with softball crap.  He is playing in Everett tomorrow, and we live in Covington.  He is on a men's team at work too, and he is the coach for both of his teams.  He does nothing but stupid sh** when he plays.  He won't give it up either.

  • I'm not sure what FFFC means, but I'm going to give it a try.

I'm frustrated with FIL. Hes been a real pain lately. He calls DH at the last minute to come help him move stuff. Yes he just had rotator cuff surgery 8 weeks ago. But at least call when DH isn't ready to hop into bed.

  • My new boss is immature...as in not ripe...um, maybe green is a better word. She has to have the last word, doesn't know how to manage yet because her promotion is premature. (we lost our manager to politics...blah). She's going to be the end of me, I just know it.

People who hold up the through lane to cut into the turn lane to get on the freeway suck, and I see them every day. My horn is for you people.

I bought Emmeline's 18 -  3 wardrobe, and while I'm proud to have hit up some sales and consigment shops, some stuff was a little more than I wanted to spend - Gap and Threadles got me good. Normally I just do it over the course of 6 months, but I did it all in like 2 weeks. Indifferent

I'm planning a going away party for two people, a birthday for my guy, and a weekend that has four possibilities, but no confirmations. This might just be a little more than I can handle.

  • *I will be putting in my application for a part time job this next week. I am having major anxiety about it because of all the testing involved. Then I realized I have a lot of experience and will be testing with people who have no experience, so that should give me an advantage. *I am excited to go back to work.....it is time. *posting via Iphone sucks. *I want CG to bottle up some MC water and send it my way.

  • I sweat A TON....my hormones have always been wonky and I sweat like a hooker in church.  To avoid been detected as a sweater I put folded up paper towels under my arm pits.....my boss can not  figure out why we go through paper towels so quickly at work.  Embarrassed

I have played around with the idea of going to the art institute of Seattle for some interior design courses....the problem is I dont want to be that old lady, in the corner of the room, that is no longer hip and just does not know it!

I tend to be rather handy around the house.  Give me a hammer and some nails/paint I could probably work something out.  DH was not raised that way...however he really really tries and wants to be handy.  Its sometimes hard to bite my tongue and just let him "figure" it out on his own time, making his own mistakes.  THAT I HAVE TO LIVE WITH!  We now have spray paint on our driveway because he did not think through the process in order to put more cover under something he was spraying.

  • I'm pissed at DH's work. They failed to tell him about a deadline so now he can't get time off to come to our ultrasound today! They knew about this deadline for over a month and conviently told him about it when he started the audit this week! I wish he would tell them to shove it since I really need him!

Me too... it sucks. I did get Botox in the armpits before my wedding though and it was AMAZING. Insurance picked up the tab too since i had already tried the perscription bo-sauce. Check it out yo!

  • I really really really want to move out of the state. Preferable back to So.Cal... DH is so NOT on board. He was born and raised here and his whole family is here... they all want to gtg ALL.THE.TIME and it drives me nuts... when I talk about how much I miss MY family they say "we should all get together MORE to make you feel better..." Ummmm, not going to help people!
  • while Delaney watched a cartoon and Dash was in bed, I totally dozed on the couch.

Woke up to every single noise, but still, it was nice.

Have you seen project runway? Age doesn't matter there, and I think as long as you present yourself in a way that attacts the clients you want, then you'll be good. The gal who did the design for our room was fresh out of school, and it's awesome (we're 1/4 the way through the design). I think the economy isn't the greatest for that field right now though. Dreams and passions don't really care what age you are anyway, right?

And for what it's worth, I've seen A's room, and it's amazing...you could specialize in kids room if you wanted to.

  • oh. and I usually love the photos my photographer does, but I'm not really thrilled with our new family ones (see them on facebook). mainly because of me and how I look in them. but we don't "pay" for them because my hubs does her website design work, so I don't feel like I can take my issues to her.
  • DH went way overboard yesterday working out when he knew he had E today. This morning he woke up saying he was way too sore and I need to take her with me because he can't hold her without hurting. Sorry buddy, you should have thought of that yesterday. I did not feel one bit bad leaving her with him.

DH got laid off a few weeks ago (from a family business...lame), we figured out that I can make doing a nanny share than we would make collectively if he were to go out and get a job, the catch is he has to keep E home with him. While I'm really happy that he has totally stepped up in the daddy arena and that they get to have this time to bond and build a relationship like she and I have, I secretly have the teeniest bit of resentment towards him that he gets to do the SAHD thing  while I go be the sole wage earner for the family.

  • I'm cancelling plans with a friend in Seattle this eveing because I don't want to drive across the bridge and get caught in traffic. A totally lame excuse.

I sleep so much better without my SO. He's such a delicate little sleeper that anytime I toss or turn he wakes up which then wakes me up.

    My dogs all need baths.

  • I'm feeling a little excited about going back to work (part of it might be that I'll only go back 3 days a week). May 20th is my first day back, and I'm definitely looking forward to it more than I am dreading it. I can't admit this to DH because I'm worried he would be disappointed with me.

  • Today is DH's 40th birthday.  We're having a party for him tonight at the bar, but I don't have anything for him.  Nothing.  Money's tight and we promised each other earlier this year that we wouldn't spend money on birthday gifts, but it feels really, really wrong to not have anything for him.
  • I have been dealing with a user for the last 24 hours hours that is incredibly rude and does not allow you to finish a thought or a sentence before interrupting you and thus never understands what you're trying to tell her.

I quit smoking years ago...but seriously...if I were not pregnant, I would bum a smoke from someone.  A smoke sounds so good right now.  Breathing deeply ain't cuttin it.

However, I am pregnant so all I can do is vent to you girls.

  • I would much rather spend time with my in-laws (parents & siblings) as opposed to my own family (parents excluded). I have absolutely NOTHING in common with my brothers & sisters. None of them have children and they are all SO selfish.

I love the bonds that I have created with my sisters-in-law, and I feel horrible saying it, but if my sister called to hang out, I would find a reason not to hang out. But if one of my SIL's called - I would hang out in a heartbeat.

  • DH is obsessed with having the baby, and it's driving me crazy! I asked him what he wanted to do this weekend, and all he would say was "have the baby", as if making other plans would prevent it from happening. I can't just sit around and wait, I need to keep myself busy!

His favorite activities this past week have been going on long walks with me, feeding me spicy foods, anything that might induce labor. Every time I roll over in bed and groan, he asks me if I'm having contractions. I wish he would relax a little and try to enjoy our last few peaceful days!

This exactly. We spent 3 days visiting my family last week and I couldn't wait to come home. We had lunch with my mom and we were talking about all the things we are trying to accomplish and she just up and said that we should never have children.

I think she resents her situation and thinks that we don't deserve them. My grandparents raised us and she was only around on certain weekends when we spent them with her.

My IL's are awesome! We were there for 5 days in February and I didn't want to leave. I wanted them to come home with us.

  • Okay EllaB - that cracks me up! For my 5 yr. wedding anniversary card - H wrote that he was so proud of how I handled the preganancy, but that it was really time to let go (I was nearly 2 weeks late by our anniversary mind you! lol)

I am celebrating 9 years at my job today. Not FF, just wow, holy crap!

I think this makes me dislike your mom more than I already did.

I'm currently on day 11 of 14 straight days at work. My house is a mess. I'm exhausted, so I pretty much go to bed as soon as I get home. I'm still trying to get rid of my old couch, people keep trying to swindle me and it's upsetting. I've barely talked to DH in the last week or so, and the only time he can find to call me is when he is hammered and out with his friends (in which case, he will get on the phone and talk to everyone else in the room except for me, or get on webcam and walk away to do something else and have his friends talk to me - both things I don't do because I hate them). Which happens to be during the middle of the night for me. Which he'd be upset if I called him at those hours, and I make an effort to be aware of what time it is there so I don't call at all hours of the night. Furthermore, I find it upsetting that he makes NO effort anymore to find out what time it is here before he calls. He'll blow up my phone when I'm at work, when he should very well know that I can not answer it. Ugh.

That's a horrible thing to say to someone, let alone your daughter.

CP - maybe a watch that's set to WA time? That sucks waiting for a phone call and then being on-call do get it. Life sounds like a tornado right now, and I hope it calms down for you soon. And yes...what's with cheapskates? MsTie had a garage sale last weekend and had the same problem. I hate haggling...just buy the damn thing or leave me alone!

I stole some of DH's pain medication so that I could finally get some sleep last night. Painkillers always knock me out! My allergies are giving me the WORST headaches, which are preventing me from sleeping. I slept like a rock. But I feel bad for jacking something that he needs for pain. Kind of.

  • My boobs are huge- like gigantic!!!  I'm sure it's from all the progesterone supplements I'm on (since they've been sore/heavy for weeks), but my cups seriously runneth over.  I was already a DD!  This is giving me a peek into pregnancy boobs, I guess.  I wonder if they make bras for watermelon boobs. :-P

I made cake balls last Sunday and the batch made 48.  DH and I have eaten about 3 dozen of them in less than a week.  Bad, but so good!  I borrowed Lynchie's idea of cherry chip and OMG they're so delish!

I really don't like being awake in the morning.  While unemployed, my normal awake hours are between 11:30am ~ 2:30am.  There have been a few times, recently, that I've had to get up early for something and the days just drag and drag.  I'd much rather be up late into the night.

It hasn't for me.  I've had a cigarette (not while pregnant!) and after a few years it doesn't taste as good or feel as good as I remember - but the desire to do it is still there from time to time.
