S/O Car seat bases

It kind of slipped my mind that we'd need two.  Where can you buy just a car seat base and how much do they cost?  Do car seats you buy in the store come with one?

    BRU and BBB sell just the bases. I'm getting a Graco travel system and the extra base was around $40.

    Car seats usually come with 1 base and some stores like BRU sell seperate bases. As for the cost that just depends on the car seat.

    Most stores sell just the bases to certain models.  I know a lot of the travel systems come with the base.  Mine is a peg perego and we had to purchase ours for $99

    Amazon.com and several other websites also sell the base for my carseat (Chicco Keyfit 30) and it was usually cheaper online than in BRU or BBB.

     The Keyfit base cost between $65-$80, depending on where I checked.

    We got a Graco Snugride extra base at BRU (they also had it at Target and various places online).  It was $51.99

    I think you have to buy them seperately (at least with my car seat you did) Ours cost around $80... but much cheaper than buying another seat...

    I thought car seats came with one base and then you can buy others if need be. I know the Chicco Keyfit 30 comes with one. BRU charges a whopping $79.99 for an extra base.

    We got our second Chicco keyfit base at babysupermall.com it was almost $10 cheaper than anywhere else.

    Your carseat will come with one base.  The extras are sold separately, BBB and BRU do sell them as well as about a million online retailers.  They typically run from between $40-$100, usually the more your carseat costs, the more the extra base will cost.

    We ordered the extra base for the Graco Snugride 32 (actually the base is the Snugride 35 base but it fits the 32) from Wal-Mart online and had it shipped to the store. It was $59 I believe.

    You don't generally need a second basem unless you'll frequently be using the seat in a second car.  All seats I know of can be installed without one.

    you don't *need* two, it's just for convenience. It's not that much trouble to move the base.
