Overnight diapers - WDYT?

DD's diaper is so wet in the morning that I think I need to get a different diaper for overnight. It just doesn't seem like she could be comfortable with such wet pants.

Anyway, what have you tried and liked? Should I just get some of her diapers in a size bigger? Or should I get some Huggies Overnights or something like that? If I do get overnights, do they need to be a size bigger than her day diapers?

TIA!

Re: Overnight diapers - WDYT?

  • DD is a heavy wetter at night, so we use Pampers Extra Protection. She wears the same size she wears during the day.

  • Huggies Overnights...the best investment I ever made!!!!!!  I know they seem expensive, but when you use just one a night, it's not so bad.
  • We have been using Huggies Overnights since he began STTN.  We use the same size and his regular Pampers.

  • We JUST started w/ Huggies Overnights this week for the exact same reason (and we've had a few leaky diapers, poor thing!).  DD is in a size 5 in the Costco diapers so I got a size 5 in the Huggies but I wish I had gotten size 6 as they seem a bit small.  It's definitely helped, though!
  • For us I noticed that the Huggies overnights would leak if DS slept on his side.  I have no complaints with the Pampers Extra Protection.  We use the same size as his daytime diapers.

  • LOVE the Huggies Overnight.  Like PP said, using only one per night, they last...so worth it :)
  • We either use Pamper Extra Protection or Huggies Overnights I always go one size up for the overnight diapers.

  • We have used both Pampers EP and Huggies ON with no issues.  We just used the same size dipes as his daytime ones.
  • We use Huggies ONs in the same size he wears during the day.

  • We use the Pampers Extra Protection and I have no complaints. They are $$ but since you only use one, they last for a long time. We also go up a size at night.

  • We don't go up a size in the overnites -- on DS, it seems like cinching them a bit tighter helps to prevent leaks, especially now that he doesn't have the big baby belly anymore.

  • Pampers here!  Huggies leaked for us.  We went a size up at first, but now he's in the same size for day and night.  And they are just fine.

  • My DS is a very heavy wetter at night. We have Pampers over night and we also put diaper doublers in so that he doesnt wet through. Without the doublers he is all wet!

  • We have not had any leaks at night since we started using the Huggies Overnights.  I think I bought them for $10.99, but had a coupon for $3 off, so it was $7.99 total.  I actually think that is pretty good since there are 20-something days worth of diapers in the package (as long as you only use one per night).
  • huggies overnights are the best!!!!!!! worth every penny. she wear a size 4 in both daytime and the nighttime diapers.

  • We've used Huggies overnight ever since he started sleeping through the night. And they are usually FULL! I couldn't imagine a regular one. We use the same size he's in now. It can be different though. I think when DS was in a 3 regular he was in a 4 in overnights, check the weight on them.
