I thought i would post this here since a lot of you have responsed in the other forums and that way it would be easier to update my fellow military bumpies.
Long story short I had our baby Caiden Campbell Sunday at 8:36pm via emergency c section after 20 hours of labor.
He was born cryingg and i saw him once he was cleaned and then he went into the nursery with my mom. (DH is deployed) He was 9 pounds 5 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Hes got BIG feet and long fingers and toes. In the nursery he was breathing fast so they put him on oxygen. They gave him a chest xray to discover that he has a hole in his diaphragm and some of his intestines are going in the hole. its a very serious condition. He was sent to the NICU and then a couple hours later he got transfered to childrens hospital in Orange County where he will be getting surgery probbaly on wednesday. Hes doing well right now so thats a good sign but i was told that some babies dont make it. I was able to sit by him for an hour before he got transfered. I have yet to hold him though.
Once i get discharged my mom and i will be able to stay at the ronald mcdonald house that only a couple blocks away.
Update from original post...Hubby is coming in today from Afghan on E Leave and Caidens surgery is scheduled for today.
