What is the proper spelling? I have seen it on baby name sites spelled both ways, but does anyone ever really spell it with a C? We were thinking Catarina Maeve and our last name starts with a Co. I don't want LO to have to correct ppl all the time if we spell it was a C. I'm not a fan of funky spellings either, so I'm not trying to be "unique" I just like it better with a C than a K. TIA!

The dressing? Catalina is a gorgeous island off the coast of California.
Spell it how you want to. Either way works, though I think K is more common.
Katerina is of Greek and Russian origin, so the tradition spelling is with a K
But from someone who has a K instead of a C - it is not that hard to say "Catarina with a C" when telling people your name.

I prefer it with a K, but you could do it either way. Just stick with the way you feel comfortable with. And I have to correct people with my name all the time! It just becomes part of my name now...."It's Gen with a G."
She'll get used to it.
