anyone else eating like Sh*t?

I eat pretty good usually, but the past few weeks alls I have wanted is junk...donuts and cereal and candy..........why cant I crave fruits and veggies???? Im up 19 lbs at almost 35 weeks...I hope I can stay at my goal of 25 lbs gain....with how Im eating I may be at that next week

  • This is how i've been....but honestly, at my last 2 appointments I've only put on a pound at each (up to 17lbs at monday's 36 wk appt) so I'm probably just gonna keep doing it!!

    I was just thinking that it would be easier if I craved veggies!

  • I eat like sh*t constantly. Nothing healthy remotely sounds good.  I started out about 15lbs under weight for my height but I have gained 24 lbs.
  • omg all i want is junk, but i crave subway as well... yea my husband is no help he baked a cake last night with chocolate frosting... but im up 30lbs. which is significantly lower than what i gained with my son...65lbs

  • I have GD but have been craving sweets like MAD lately.  I'm usually craving veggies and fruits, but ice cream and doughnuts sound like the best things on Earth right now.  Doc would not be happy.  :(

    The upside is I need to gain weight.  I've only gained 8lbs this whole pregnancy and so they're watching my ketones.  If sugar weren't an issue, I'd probably eat a lot more junk.

    If it has chocolate in it I want it. Donuts are my major weakness. I ALMOST drove to Dunkin Donuts this morning-25 minute drive, one way.

    Definitely eating like crap lately! Too tired to cook half the time, so there's been a lot of take-out and super processed (read: frozen and convenient) food around our house. On top of that, I feel like following every meal with chocolate....and lots of it!

  • My DH and I went grocery shopping yesterday and when we got to the check out and I really looked at what we were buying I was kind of shocked at myself. We rarely buy processed foods and buy lots of whole foods and fresh produce. This week it seemed like 90% of what we bought was crap. I'm half hoping I go into labor before my appointment on Friday... just so I don't have to weigh in, lol.
  • ME TOO! All I ever want is chocolate and junk food. I always try to make myself eat some fruit or something to balance it out, but I eat cookies and icecream like everyday! It's so yummy!

  • Yup!  And, I'm not doing very good at eating my veggies but have been pretty good about eating fruit so hopefully it all kind of balances out.  I think my dr. would have a heart attack if she knew exactly what my diet consists of.  But, all my tests have, and continue to, come back good so that's gotta count for something!

    P.S.  I can't believe you've only gained 19lbs.  I've gained 32 and am 38wks.

  • Oh me!  I've been doing pretty good at eating healthier foods this time around and managing my cravings...but this past week I'm losing control!  It definitely wasn't a good idea to make rice krispie treats yesterday...for my DS as I rationalized.  Turns out he doesn't like them yet still they are almost all gone!
  • Yes!  For the last 2-3 weeks, all I have wanted is crap--McDonalds, cupcakes, ice cream, chips.  I was eating pretty healthy before that and most of my cravings were at least relatively healthy (mostly fruit and cereal).  And I know that after eating french fries and other fried crap, I'm going to feel bloated and gross, but I still keep eating it.  At 33 weeks, I am up 27 pounds, which my doctor is happy with and I have not been gaining any more than usual the past few weeks.  I just feel gross.
