Low amniotic fluid...anyone else?

At my u/s yesterday my fluid was low. They decided not to hospitalize me saying to hydrate for 24 hours and come back. The fluid went from a 6 to an 8 (whatever that means) and then she quoted another figure of 88 saying scale was 79 to 240. So I'm in the "ok" range and will go back next week.

I'm just a little concerned bc I drank SO much fluid just to get to that point I was literally gagging on the water and feeling sick from it all. I was told to stay hydrated but not as crazy as I'd done for today, and rest for an hour at least each day. I dunno how I'm gonna last another week without checking again, I'm so nervous now.

Anyone else have low fluid?

 OH and a side note...the u/s tech said the baby is 6 lbs 11 oz...holy huge baby!!! I'm only 34 weeks!! Luckily I'm having another csection so they aren't concerned about size lol.

    My fluids have fluctuated the past few weeks.  I have had readings of 3 on Tues and then 18 on Fri.  I've been on bedrest, laying on my left side and hydrating beyond belief.  I'm really starting to not believe the measurements anymore, they are too subjective.  Some techs just take one picture of each quadrant and then measure, while some techs will go looking for a good pocket of fluid in each quadrant.  Also, towards the end amniotic fluids starts to decrease because the baby is taking up all the room.

    My bag is ruptured but last Friday my fluid was 12.7

    I have low fluid and also had it with DS2. 

    With him I was put on BR at 32 weeks and had weekly u/s to monitor it.  It never went up past 7.  At 38 weeks they noticed no fluid at all so I was sent for an induction.  That ended up as an emergency csection.  DS was 3lbs 15 oz at birth.  He was also considered IUGR. 

    With this pregnancy my levels were at 7 last week (which had the peri known that I would have been sent to the hospital) and this week they were at 11.  I am also being monitored weekly for fluid levels and babies growth with a peri.

    But that is great that the baby is already 6lbs!
