Hi,
I POAS every day last week and they were all +.
. I went to RE last Friday. He confirmed. They called in the afternoon to tell me all my blood work was good. I asked, so I am confirmed via blood too, right? The nurse laughed and said yes, my HCG levels looked good. That was it. I go back to RE this Friday for follow-up (side note: I had mild OHSS, it appears to be going away).
I never asked for my Beta numbers nor did they tell me. I figured if they said all is good, that's good enough for me. But, as I look on all the boards, I see a lot of ladies have gotten detailed info. Was I wrong to not get more info.?
Re: Did everyone get Beta numbers?
There's no right or wrong here. If you're happy with your doctor's word that it's good, then that's good! The number doesn't tell you much on its own anyway -- you need at least two, so you can see the doubling time, which is what's really important. If your RE isn't going to do a second beta, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Congratulations!
Thank you. I think I am getting a second beta because I know I am getting more blood work done this Friday. But, the word Beta has never been uttered by him. I only know it from all you lovely ladies
. Yes, sometimes I think too much information is not good. If he is not worried, then I am not going to be either.

That's a great attitude!
Numbers can definitely make you crazy, so if you're happy with what he's saying, I would stick with that.
Of course, I was a math major and I love numbers so while my RE didn't offer them, I always asked for the specific numbers.
Thanks...at least it makes me feel better that my RE is not the only one that doesn't offer them.

I am an over-analyzer also. I noticed a lot of IF'rs tend to be. Guess it's from all those doctor appts. and information we have to keep straight in our head. Because I over analyze, DH says the less I know the better-haha...he knows I would drive myself nuts and be awake and worrying at night.
