Hello all, my SIL is currently pg with twins-due in June. Her older twins are now 7 years old and she said that with them she bruised pretty badly on the inside of her stomach in one spot because the babies stopped having room to grow and one of them was kicking her in the same spot repeatedly. We have another relative who was having pain during her pregnancy (singleton) and when she delivered they found that the baby's foot had been stuck in her rib cage. I'm not sure how they got it out but he had to have a procedures to correct his foot/ankle after birth. So anyway, here's the question, my SIL says she having a similar pain, but that it doesn't feel like the pain she felt from the bruising she had the first time around and she is afraid one of her babies may experiencing something similar to what our other relative's did. I would assume that an u/s could answer that question but she says nothing like that showed up on her last one. Is this a normal feeling with twin pg or is there something more specific she should be asking her doctor?
Re: Need advice for my SIL who is pg with twins
Ok, so let me get this straight -
You posted yesterday about how much you want to have twins (and please, no more explanations, I get it) and now you are saying your SIL is currently pregnant with twins AND that she has another set of twins?
I'm struggling with this.
But yes, u/s should be able to tell you if one of her babies is in her ribs.
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!
This. I can't believe I'm even posting in one of your threads again, because all you do is DD.
MY struggle is that this is suspicious. All of it. You've never posted here before yesterday (which is given away by the post count you have under your screenname; while you may have lurked for a very long time, you've never posted).
We had someone GBCB (good bye cruel bump = leave the boards permanently) last week because she was called out for faking a multiples pregnancy and stealing someone's maternity photos. I think most of us are a bit more suspicious these days.
Oh, I don't doubt that her story is true. There's a poster on here with 2 sets of twins.
I'm trying to explain why you still aren't getting the warm reaction you expected.
