My 22-month old toddler has become picker than picky. All of her favorites she hates PLUS she still hates everything she has always hated. The last two days she has not eaten dinner. I've tried making new recipes but she won't even try them. Anyone have any advice OR any good recipes that would maybe entice her to at least try it.
Re: Help! Toddler won't eat.
oh don't worry....my LO did that for about 3-4 days...and then his appetite came back
it's just a phase......now if it continues for about a week or more contact the doctor

My DD goes through phases where she only eats 4-5 bites at dinner. It is always her smallest meal of the day and sometimes it is just non-existant. Even when I make her favorite foods. Last night she had 5 grapes and a little bit of garlic bread for dinner. Lovely.
It is totally normal. Unless there is an underlying medical condition (which is rare) kids won't let themselves starve and it is best not to try to control what and how much they eat. Offer what the family is eating and let her decide what and how much to eat. Again, it's totally normal (and completely frustrating). :-)
Thanks for all the support ladies.
It does seem as though it is a cycle of not eating and then eating and daycare indicates that she eats everything but her fruits at lunch so at least she is getting a good breakfast and lunch. I guess I will continue to monitor her habits.
