Pregnant after 35

LO May be making an early appearance

So my water broke approximately 6:30 pm yesterday. Went to the hospital at approximately 2:00am (was not sure that's what it was) so I am admitted to the hospital. No contractions etc yet so I am just here going crazy and the chances of me going home before having LO are slim to none. Also of course they are trying to make him bake as long as possible which I do not mind cause all I want is a healthy baby but I just "wish" I could do the wait at home.

  • Good luck to you!! I know you are uncomfortable, but hopefully they can have him bake a little longer.  Hugs!!

  • Were you just leaking a little or was it a big break with a gush? I hope they can keep you relaxed and it would be much better to relax at home, but you have some excellent care at the hospital that are fully prepared if your baby decides to arrive a little too ahead of schedule. Good luck!

It was just a trickle at first that's why I thought I was just leaking urine, that's when I put a pad on just to get the color. But after I got done with security at the ER and got on the elevator I realized my pants were soaked I was so shocked. Now that I am here i get a trickle/gush sometimes and sometimes none at all for hrs. Thank You

  • Thanks for all the kind wishes which makes me feel much better I will keep you all posted.
  • Now I have one more connection to detach when I go to the bathroom. I have the IV, the thingy that goes on each of my calves to stimlate the muscles so I don't get clots and as of this morning I have to keep the fetal monitor on. Its a joke to see me trying to unhook/unplug everything to go to the b/r and do it fast too lol. The fetal monitor was added because there was a drop in the heart rate yesterday so if this continues they are going to take him out he is also breech so my chances of a vaginal birth is looking slim.
  • ((hugs)) good luck and hang in there!

  • My little man don't seem to be nowhere ready to join us anytime soon. He is still breech and having a field day inside just dancing around on my bladder. The leaking of my fluids is minimal and I am doing great otherwise, an ultrasound is done everyday to check the fluid levels which have been great excepting for my first day here. So I am just hanging in there.
