Took ds with me to the dr's office this weekend and knew he would be needing to nurse pretty quickly so I started getting out my nursing cover & burp cloth handy. He is just starting to crawl (very fast army crawl) & he was on the floor with some toys. He was starting to crawl away from me after some toys and looked back to check on me. When he saw me fussing with my shirt/bra he did a 180 and motored right to me! He was reaching with one hand and whinning like crazy! I thought it was so cute and had no idea he would understand something like that! Same thing happened this morning, I called him and undid my shirt ect, he crawled right to me! This might save my back if I play my cards right lol.
Oh & another little tid-bit. NIP at a casual restaurant during lunch yesterday & two old ladies who had been smiling at ds the whole time gave me the stink eye!? Seriously, they just stared and stared. I had a nursing cover on - what was thier problem? Jeeze

Re: The perks of nursing a crawling baby!
Were the ladies in their 60's or thereabouts? That generation evidently was told that formula was best for babies. I didn't know this until my grandma (whom I've always been very close with) began making subtle negative comments about my decision to breastfeed. Even now, she says things like "once you get her started on solid food, she'll probably finally give up that nursing thing" and "She's probably waking up so often at night because she's still hungry. When you feed then out of a bottle, then you can make sure they're getting enough to eat."
Ugh. She makes comments like that about cosleeping as well.
