Had my "free" 3D ultrasound today!

The radiology department in my doctor's office is testing out new ultrasound machines, so they asked if I'd be a "test subject" for a couple different machines. We went in today for our first one and unfortunately LO had her face smooshed into the placenta the whole time... we got some shots of her face but nothing amazing... it was still great to be able to see her again. I think she looks SOOOOOOOOOO much like DH, but nobody else sees it!!

At one point she poked herself in the eye and I think she started crying cuz her mouth kept opening and closing like she was screaming and her tongue was sticking out... it was funny and sad at the same time!

We also got a really cool pic of her hair sticking up and floating in the amniotic fluid... it was so neat! DH and I were both bald babies, but this baby sure has a ton of hair! The tech even measured it and said it's about 2 cm long already... time to get the bows ready!!!

We're going back in next week for another one... hopefully LO cooperates and takes her face out of the placenta!

Thats so cool! I told DH I didn't want to get another one (we did it at 16w to find out the sex) because we already know he's a boy, and told everyone his name, so we needed something to be a surprise.. but now I'm getting the itch! I'm dying to see what he looks like. You're so lucky it was free for you!

That happened to me the first time i went but my solution....drink LOTS of water and ONLY water. No soda, coffee, juice, etc. Thats what the tech told me and honestly it worked! She told me that for at least a few days before make sure nothing but water. and lots of it! We ended up with some awesome shots! Good luck and feel good!
