Hi Everyone!
There is a tradition in my husbands family that the first son is named with the fathers first name as their middle name. We haven't decided if we would break tradition or not but I want to have some ideas to bring to the table. We both feel like Jonathan is such a strong name (and no he NEVER goes by John) for a middle that finding a first is proving to be hard.
Any ideas are much appreciated.
Thanks!
Re: Boys: First name to go with middle name Jonathan
You didn't indicate what your style/taste in names is; I tend to prefer traditional/clasic names, especially with an already traditional names like Jonathan. So I will try to ge tthe ball rolling with: Robert Jonathan, Daniel Jonathan, Thomas Jonathan.
I always consider the first name + middle initial too since later in life lots of people go that route as a professional name and I think Robert J., Daniel J. and Thomas J. all work nicely as well.
Andrew Jonathan
Caleb Jonathan
Ryan Jonathan
Spencer Jonathan
Isaac Jonathan
Eli Jonathan
Seth Jonathan
Wesley Jonathan
Noah Jonathan
I think a lot of first names could work well with mn Jonathan.

Since Jonathan is three-syllables, I would pair it with a short first name.
Mark Jonathan
Seth Jonathan
Max Jonathan
Charles Jonathan
Chad Jonathan
Frank Jonathan
Scott Jonathan
Reid Jonathan
Grady Jonathan
Heath Jonathan
Rhys Jonathan
Thanks so much guys! So far I dig the following:
Andrew Jonathan
Caleb Jonathan
Isaac Jonathan (and now I think from my personal list that Isaiah Jonathan can work)
Noah Jonathan (Noah is also on my list).
Reid Jonathan
How does Owen Jonathan sound?
I like two-syllable, Biblical first names with Jonathan:
Peter Jonathan
Isaac Jonathan
Ezra Jonathan
Elias Jonathan
Micah Jonathan

I like Owen! Love, love, love Caleb. Noah, Isaac, Isaiah and Andrew are great names too. Not a fan of Reid.
You've got a great list. Good luck!
