It's tradition for the first boy in every generation to have Harrison as a middle name. I like the tradition, but we've been having a LOT of trouble coming up with a first name!
I want something simple, because our last name starts with a Q and is unusual, which combined with Harrison and a long first name would be quite the mouthful.
We like Paul Harrison, but aren't in love with Paul by itself as a name. I like James Harrison, but this is a name that my little sis has dreamed of for years- I wouldn't 'steal' it from her.
DH likes Stephen. I do too, but I'm not completely sold on it.
Is Stephen Harrison too repetitive sound-wise? And If LO wanted to go as Steve... would that be weird? I like the spelling Stephen over Steven, but then worried my kid wouldn't be able to shorten his name if he wanted.
Thoughts?
Re: Boy name advice
Stephen Harrison sounds fine. And Stephen most definitely can be shortened to Steve.
George Harrison!!!
;-) (Beatles fan.)
I like Paul Harrison.
Agree with other posters that Steve is a nn for Stephen.
Other thoughts. I like the sound of Ethan Harrison and Evan Harrison.
Paul Harrison - First thought: Beatles
Not bad though.
I'm not a fan of the names but I don't see a problem with Stephen going by Steve.
What about Eli Harrison?
