Have you ever been to a stip club?

Some of our friends what to go to one tonight, its from my friends b-day, she has been told that they are really fun for women because people are not always bothering you. So anyhow they have decided to go to one tonight and invited me and DH to go too. its going to be my friend and her DH, and another one of our good friends. I looked the place up on line and its one of those fancy places like guys have to wear button down shirt tucked in kinda thing. And tonight is couples night so couples get in free.

So I was just wondering if anyone else has been to one and what it was like.

I went once with DH and some friends. The women who work there seemed to have a much higher preference for women clients, I'll tell you that. After a few drinks, my friends bought me a lap dance and I laughed the entire time, but the dancer was really having fun with it too. Overall, I still don't like the general nature of the business. However, I say go once so you can at least know the experience yourself.

I went to one several years ago with a group of co-workers (we were a little tipsy after going out). It was about 4 guys and 3 girls and we were still in work attire. It was fine. I will say that gave us girls more attention than the guys.

I've never been to one with DH.

Hi Ashley-

I've only been to a stripclub once with a bunch of work people. It was a co-workers birthday and although she was straight she LOVED b**bies as she would say. So, we all went. I was initially so embarrased but it ended up being fine. One of the guys paid for me to get a lap dance and the girl was actually funny about the whole thing. She knew I was a bit freaked out and told me "don't worry honey, I like the boys too" as she knew I wasn't in to her. It wasn't a "bad" experience. That being said, I have never been to another one.

I've only been to one once, on my birthday, where it was male strippers. It was a pretty mortifying experience but I am pretty shy.

I went to one about a year ago on my bachelorette party in New Orleans. It was about 4:00 in the morning and we were all three sheets to the wind, so it's kind of blurry. The girls didn't take it all off, so it wasn't that bad. I just remember thinking it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected. I refused to get a lap dance also.

I went to one in Daytona Beach with my friends, and then one with DH when we were in New Orleans. Bourbon Street has several, so we figured wth? It was interesting... I guess that's a good word. We didn't sit up close or anything so I don't know what that would be like.

Edit- neither were totally nude, so I think that was better!

I am probably in the minority here being that I lived in Reno for 4 years and Vegas for 5 years where there are strip clubs everywhere. Because we lived in Vegas, we always had friends in town and surprise, surprise, they always wanted to go to strip clubs (the world's largest strip club is there) so DH and I have been more times than we can count and I have to say (and I am embarassed to admit this) that I have a blast everytime!

To me, it is a place where we can go, sit with our friends, relax and have fun. People are so much more laid back there probably because of how drunk they are. Guys love to buy girls lap dances so watch out. I'm not a huge fan (I usually ended up laughing the whole time) of the lap dances but it's still all in good fun! It's always a little ackward at first but soon, you'll forget that there are naked boobies everywhere! I've always been to male strip clubs in Vegas too and somehow, those aren't as fun because the guys are kind of creepy! Apparently, I did manage to fall in love with a dancer at Thunder from Down Under (which really isn't a strip club) on my bachelorette but I was too drunk to remember! Hope you have a good time if you go!

yes - I grew up in Texas....land of the strip clubs. Its been years since I've been in one but they aren't too bad if they are a nice, classy (as classy as a strip club can be I guess) and not a scank hut.

I went to one, probably 5 years ago. I didn't love it, lots of girls and boobs swing to and fro. But I got to drink for free, being a chick, so hey that was cool.

The women there loved dancing for the chicks, I did notice that. One gave my friend a lap dance for no charge. Of course all the MEN were tipping her tons so that's probably why.

All in all, it was an experience. I probably wouldn't go again, but I had a good time the once.

I went after being out at a bar with a lot of friends, and that whole night is pretty blurry but I think it was fun. DH has never been to one, and has no intentions on going. He says he doesn't like the idea of them, and wouldn't feel right. Works for me lol!

I've been to a few through the years. I'd suggest you have a drink or two before you leave, it'll help cut your nerves a bit. It can be a bit overwhelming the first time, especially not knowing the protocals, which vary from place to place, but you can make it a fun game with DH and have him explain the rules. All in all, the girls will probably approach you for lap dances, but they don't get offended when you politely decline. Definitely don't sit up front and don't wear a skirt. Have fun - it can be a fun night, and people will leave your group alone Wink
