I was checking out facebook this afternoon and noticed that an old friend, someone I really haven't spoken to in years so I wouldn't feel comfortable commenting, had made a post about wanting to have babies. She got quite a few responces including one that pointed out that she wouldn't be able to drink for about a year and then longer if she breastfed. This was then followed by another girl stating that actually it's totally fine to drink for the first few months and then when you are breast feeding because it won't get into the milk. Ummm......no. As a NICU RN, I guess now I understand why we get so many drug addicted, fetal alcohol syndrome babies....people like this chick. I'm rather p*ssed.
