We are going on vacation next week with DD. She's never been in a big pool. I have a shaded turtle float, but that's it. What else should I have for her? Swimmies? Vest-thing? Any help would be great. Thanks!
Eh...skip the swimmies and lifevest (unless you're going on a boat). You should be good with swim diapers, suit, sunscreen, and hat. Everything else is either take it or leave it.

This. Absolutely take swim diapers, swimsuit, sunblock, hat. You don't need anything else, I found out the hard way: DH insisted on buying DD arm floatie things and we got her a vest, complete waste of money at this age. We just came back from Mexico, she let us put the vest on her once and demanded we take it off as soon as we got into the water. And we didn't even try the arm floaties. And we never got the big shaded floatie thing last year and didnt' need it at all.
Thanks everyone! I have swim diapers, hat, sunblock. I bought the float when I was pregnant at the end of the season. It's so cute. I thought it would be fun. I hope she loves the pool!
Re: Swim/pool stuff for 18 month old?
Swim diapers, sunblock, shaded float, sunhat
I'm not sure about swimmies yet, but I would like to see responses from others about that.
