is this what you guys call "lightning crotch"?

in 3rd Trimester

up until the last 2 weeks i have been having such a great pregnancy! (dont hate me, please) but i only threw up 1 time and have had energy and its been going great!

then all the sudden the hip & back pain, my thighs hurtin and just having that icky feeling! last week i started getting BH's CONSTANTLY! the dr's assistant said i was thinning but said my first "real" internal will be on tuesday - so im not sure exactly how much progress i have made.

anyway, since last night i have been getting extremely bad pains in my lower back that come up and go up my stomach, then BAM a sharp pain into my crotch area!!

is this so called lightning crotch? or just my body gettin ready? or could it be that im getting super close to the real thing?

    Lightning crotch, to me, feels like a sudden, sharp "shock" to the crotch region.  It's from LO pressing on a nerve down there.  For me, it hasn't been a sustained kind of pain, it literally feels like someone stabbed me with a knife down there.  But the pain you described could be your body getting ready - I did notice having more hip and back pain as LO has dropped.  I also started getting more BH after she dropped.

    oh my god! thats exactly how i described it to DH! i said, "its like someone is taking a knife and stabbing me in my vagina!"

    he looked at me like i was crazy!

    I started getting it around week 34. I saw another mom's post who described it as a razor blade feeling and that's about how it feels. Just a sharp shooting pain on your cervix area but it goes away quickly.
