Success after IF

How long from "cruising" to walking?

My boys have been cruising around furntire for a good 6 weeks now and can stand alone for a good 30 seconds.  Well Dylan can not Carter. How long I wonder before they will start walking?  What did your LO do?  Dylan looks likes he wants to walk so badly!

  • We have been cruising since January with no desire to walk alone. I'm hoping it will be soon!

  • Jacob started cruising around 10 months, but still isn't full on walking.  He takes steps all the time.  I would say that he's 25% walking now.  Each day there are more and more steps.  But he was cruising for a while before he would get up the courage to let go or to take steps.

  • It took Ava FOREVER.  She cruised for several months before she had any interest in taking steps.  Then, once she started taking steps, it was probably another six weeks until full-on walking.  She just didn't want to!  Now she RUNS.

  • It was like 3 months for owen (he started first).  It was a little faster for Ethan (watching brother helped).  Ethan pulled up and cruised after Owen but actually took his first steps first.

  • 2 months here.
  • My DS has been cruising since late December/early January, and still no steps alone.  He will look around for something to hold on to, then if he doesn't find anything, will drop to his knees and crawl.  He appears to have no desire to walk alone!

  • Nolan cruised from about 11 months until walking at 16 months! We took a while!
  • Can't remember but 2 or 3 months o first steps and then 2 to 3 wks to walking for a few steps at a time. Then a few more weeks to full blown walking
  • We have been crusing for about a month here and still no steps. He won't even stand by himself yet. If you try to have him do it, he just sits down and crawls. I am not in a rush though because walking leads to running.
