I assume its best to give scereal then bottle.. And you just would subtract that from the amount of cereal? What if they don't get any down I guess just give them more formula after...
I have been feeding cereal once a day since Saturday. We do it before the bottle but I still give the same amount of BM in each bottle as I was doing before. I figure once they start eating more cereal, I will watch to see if they drink less in the bottle

You should be giving the bottle first b/c the milk is still their main source of nutrition. If you give cereal first their tummies may be too full to take in as much milk. Rice cereal has very little nutritional value so it's important that they get lots of milk still.

I agree that the milk is still the main source of nutrition but the order depends on your baby. DS has been on "solids" for about 3 weeks and we give him solids 2x/day before he gets milk. He almost always has the same amount of milk after solids, but every once in a while he won't eat as much (I chalk that up to him not being quite as hungry that day).
He has done really well with that but it was all experimentation. As long as they are nursing about the same or getting at least 30 oz of formula (or BM if you are pumping/bottling) then you should be fine. Right now, solids are more for education than nutrition.
We've been doing his 1 feeding between bottles. He normally gets his last bottle at DC around 3:30; I give him ceral at like 5:30; then final bottle for the night at 7:30.....
