So Saturday the 10th I posted on here that my bp was high (checked it at home) so we went into the hospital to be monitored around 5pm for an hour. Of course it was low at the hospital, so they sent me home. DH and I then went straight out to dinner and went home and watched a movie. At exactly 4:58am Sunday I woke up because I thought I felt something coming out of me. I layed there for a minute and felt it again, so I got up to go the bathroom to check it out. By the time I got to the toilet, my shorts were soaked! It basically only came out if I moved a certain way. So I woke up DH, called the Dr and they told me to come in. I was only in triage for 10 mins and was already admitted to a L & D room! (I was only 1cm at this time) I had no contractions at all... They started pitocin at 8am and by 11am I finally had my first contraction. Sometime around 1pm they really started to hurt so I was given Nubain. (3 centimeters at 1pm) I think it was around 3pm they gave me my epidural which was awesome I have to add! At 4:30 I started pushing. I pushed for almost an hour and the nurse had to leave (they got really busy and had to call more ppl in) She then came back and we started pushing again for another hour and Zoey was getting a little stuck so as soon as the Dr gave me a small episiotomy she was born 4 pushes later at 6:36pm! Weighed 6lbs 11oz, 19 1/2 inches long. (on friday my u/s showed her at 6lbs 9oz) She is a perfect little redhead!!! We did have issues with jaundice and she was readmitted this friday for 1 night to stay under the lights, but we are home and doing well now!
I have to say that having a vaginal delivery was not as bad as I thought it would be.....of course I don't think I would have made it without the drugs!
