Pregnant after 35

Hey ladies! I'm old...but I'm new :-)

Morning ladies!  Just found this board.  I am 36 and expecting my second, due Dec 21.  I don't feel old, or high risk, or anything crazy but sort of feel disconnected from a lot of the younger women on some of the boards.  Looking forward to getting to know you all!

  • Welcome and Congrats! I completely understand how you feel about the other boards, even though I was there once! This is my 3rd, had my first 2 in my 20s... completely different experience!
  • Welcome and Congratulations! I'm 35 and sure don't feel old. I'm starting my 3 tri and have a 2 year old so even though I should really tired... I'm not! God I hope I'm not jinxing myself!
  • Hello and welcome!!  I know what you mean - I had my first at 36 and though I lurked a lot on the other boards never really felt too comfortable actually posting anything.  I wish this board had been around then, but now at 38 I'm finding it to be a great help and support!!

  • Hi and welcome! I'm 37 and expecting my 1st. I know exactly what you mean about the other boards. Everyone here is very friendly and the advice/support are great!
  • I am 40 and expecting my first.  I like to think of this as the board for grown-ups.  Most of the drama is over and we have finally figured out what is important...keeping our sanity during this insane process.

  • Hi!  I am 36 and am expecting my first (hopefully to be followed by my second within a couple of years).  We just started late.  I have a completely drama-free pregnancy so far - had no problems getting pregnant, no morning sickness, a bit of fatigue for months 2 and 3, but that is abating - and hoping the remiander goes as smoothly.

I have my amniocentesis scehduled for tomorrow and am hoping for the best!
