My cousin had a baby when she was 18. She'd been out of control for several years, and having a baby actually straightened her out and brought her back to her family. She's a great mom, and I'm really proud of her.
But now, two years later, she's pregnant again.
I just read about it on Facebook. I wrote in a PM, "Congratulations, I guess," because she clearly wasn't happy about it, and she replied, "Yeah thanks I guess lol kinda sucks tho, but unfortunately I could never get an abortion so I'm stuck with it."
Ugh! Ughughughugh! Seriously? Didn't she learn anything from her first oops baby? The first time, it's unfortunate; the second time, it's irresponsible. She's had a couple of scares, so she knew it could happen. I guess I should be glad that at least she's not looking at abortion as birth control. But when I think of all the IF women who would do anything for a baby... The world is so unfair.
Her FI is a jerk. He treats her bad, he cheats on her, and he has reportedly said that he plans to keep having babies until he gets a son. So my cousin is praying this one's a boy.
ETA: And she just put up a belly pic as her profile pic, when she's at most eight weeks pregnant and still keeping it a secret from her parents. WTF.
