Cleaning pump everytime?

I thought I had read somewhere that you could store the horn to your pump in the fridge inbetween pumpings....is this true...it takes forever for mine to dry after I wash it and I'm trying to build a supply for when I go back to work...any advise?  TIA

  • I rinse my parts with cool water, put them into a ziploc and stash them in the fridge.  I think the thought behind this is that the milk is fine for 4-6 days in the fridge, so any residual milk would be fine too....I think...

  • I rinse my pump parts after every pumping, then I clean them at night.  I sterilize the parts once a week.
  • If I am home, I simply put my parts into a tupperware in the fridge in between pumpings.  I don't rinse them and then just wash at night with soapy water and sanitize once a week.

This (minus) the tupperwear. I've been doing it for going on 5 months and it's worked great.

  • this is off topic but how are you building your supply? I need to !
