? for those that do the no escape swaddle

Do you ever worry you are hurting them by having their arms pinned down?  I guess I know I'm not but sometimes I feel bad having her arms so tight by her side.  If I dont do the swaddle this way she will escape so I feel like I dont have a choice.

Am I the only one that feels bad?

  • I don't, but my husband always questions if it is too tight.

  • I swaddle her incredibly tightly.  I was worried at first that is would be so tight that she wouldn't be able to breathe.  I think her sleeping is more important than being able to move her arms.
  • I don't feel bad because he loves it - he calms down and relaxes every time we swaddle him that way.

  • my Lo HATED the escape proof swaddle...which is not escape proof...we did it right and we did it tight..but he still could manage to get his legs out... he would scream from the moment we started to put him into it...and we did it from a relaxed state..then he would be so upset after the whole ordeal..so not worth it..now he sleeps with nothing
  • My DD would scream too, actually she screams when we try to do any kind of swaddle with her.

  • No, you're not alone. I always feel bad too. BUT it's the only way she's able to sleep and I know it's important for me to help her get some good sleep.
