Carseats and taxi's?

For those of you who live in a city I was wondering what you do with you LO when you need to use a taxi? ?Do you bring your carseat into the taxi and set it up? ?I can imagine that if this is so not many taxi cabs would stop for you.

Me: 30, DOR with a FSH of 12.5
DH: 31, no issues
4-6/2012 100mg of Clomid + trigger + IUI/TI = BFN
7/2012 150mg of Gonal-f + trigger + IUI = BFN
8/2012 Surprise unmedicated BFP!! Due May 8, 2013

    Sure they stop! They'll keep the meter running while you install it, but it's not that big a deal. And you dont really flag down a cab while holding the car seat, so they dont necessarily know you'll be installing one. It's not ideal, but from a safety standpoint there isnt really an alternative.

    Thanks!!! ?There is a very high chance that we will be moving back to Chicago and I was not sure how that worked. ?

    Most people who live in the city dont use cabs very often if they have a baby in tow. The L and buses are going to be much more viable options.

    flame away, but we're in chicago and have used a taxi three times with ds.  twice, we had his carseat and although we didn't install it, we held onto it as they were both short distance trips.  the other time, i wore him in the baby bjorn as we were going to the cubs game and had nowhere to store a carseat while we were there.
