  • I don't think Kelly Ripa should be in a pregnancy magazine, but I do think she's cute. Embarrassed

  • Sorry, I forgot to post the UO today! :)

    Is Kelly Ripa pregnant again???

LOL nope, see my post below.

My DH thinks they look like babies made of Jell-O. And they are kind of creepy, but on the other hand, I bet if I saw my own baby in 3D, I would think it was the most beautiful thing ever! :)

  • ooo yes! It is my favorite bump day!

I think Kelly Ripa needs to EAT! but that is just me.

I also am not a fan of the 3d/4d u/s and didn't and won't be having one.

Also, don't think this is unpopular but I HATE tax day!

  • I think it should be illegal for a woman to tell a pregnant woman she hates her because she didn't get as big as she did while pregnant. Not only is it an uncomfortable situation, but I find it kind of rude!

  • It's my EDD and I am trying all the old wives tales I can think of to get her out today. I am very well aware of the fact that it could be another week or two, but I want her OUT NOW!
  • I think more woman should spend some time educating themselves on labor & delivery and not just assume that they will stroll into a hospital and just be taken care of.  You should have more concern and knowledge about what is being put into your body, why it is, how it will effect you and your baby, and what to expect.....regardless of the type of birth you want.  Some of the post I see boggle my mind.
  • I hate that my OB and the hospital I'm delivering at are super pro natural births. I always feel like my OB is judging me because I want an epidural. I'm worried when the time comes the nurses/ my ob might try to talk me out of it.

I totally thought they were creepy & that all the babies look alike....then we had one so both sets of grandparents could go...and I fell in love with him haha.  He looked so perfect to me!

  • I hate it when 2nd time+ moms say "Oh just wait and see!".  Why do you have to make all my opinions on child-birth and child-rearing into some negative experience?  You make it sound awful.  It it's that bad why would anyone have a baby?  Are you just trying to make up for your failures?  Leave me alone and let me figure it out on my own.

This EXACTLY, and I am a repeat c-section mama, so I know things don't always go the way you want them to, but you should at least have some idea of what is going to/may happen to you during labor and delivery.

Along those same lines I am floored by how little so many people seem to know about what is/could happen to their children after they are born and how much trust they give complete strangers to have their child's best interest at heart.

  • I think the whole 'Twilight' obsession is weird. The movies were terrible- downright unwatchable! :)

  • I WANT my baby to come early! There :P ...I said it. I think that I am far enough along that IF the baby comes on his own I will not be worried. Now, I didn't a few weeks ago b/c I thought it would have been too early but anytime now I would feel comfortable with. I just took down my ticker b/c it had the wrong week...it may still be updating though.

I think they're neat. Plus, it's another u/s that you probably wouldn't have otherwise...and it's cheaper than the standard ones. I debated having one forever, but we're going to.

hehe, I'm with you 100% - although I've never seen them, something about the extreme obsession just annpoed me though.

  • I hate that I will most likely have to be medically induced in the next week or so (signs of pre-e).  I have been planning on a natural birth for the last 6 months and feel like my birth experience is already being taken away by me.

I don't care if women decide to do medicated or unmedicated births, but this is what I had hoped for and I feel really sad about it.  It sounds stupid but I always imagined laboring at home, going for a walk around the block with my husband, driving to the hospital, and just being so excited that today could be the day.  Yes, I know that birth cannot be planned and it usually never happens the exact way you hope for.... I just am bummed out and will get over it very soon I'm sure...

  • I get really annoyed by all the other moms I know who have told me all the things that suck about pregnancy and birth. It doesn't make me feel better, it only makes me worry, AND I've found many things that people complained about a lot to not be that bad after all. If I feel like *** at 30 weeks, don't tell me I'm "in for it" in the next 10 weeks - now that I've been there, I realize that everyone exaggerates. And a big, effing thanks for nothing to all the women who have told me childbirth is the worst pain you'll ever experience, that helps *so* much!!

    whew, that felt good!

Haha! This!! I used to teach 4th grade and I got quite a few students that had been home-schooled until their parents realized that they weren't teaching them well enough to pass any state tests - so, they sent them to public school...had about 4 of those in 6 years of 4th grade...

  • I am really getting sick of seeing that "Dear Non-Pregnant Person" post on a weekly basis being posted by people who appear to be passing it off as their own creation.  It's not.  It's something that has been going around the web for at least 1 year now, maybe more.

Look, I'm the first one to say that it's hysterical and rings true for so many of us during pregnancy, but I think the post should come with a disclaimer that whoever posted it didn't write it themselves.  Maybe I'll get flamed for this, and maybe there is no such thing as plagiarism on the internets, but a part of me thinks whoever posts it should say it's not theirs.

    I do this Embarrassed

I call her "Momma." That's all I have ever called her though. I don't refer to her as that. I refer to her as my "Mom." Everyone calls their parents something different though. I don't think because we are a certain age, we should have to change what we call them.

  • I follow all of the "rules" of pregnancy - not eating deli meat cold, no liquor, etc...because I think it's selfish not to give up things like that for a few months while you're growing a baby.
  • Normally I don't mind misspellings, but it irritates me to no end when people on the bump misspell lose. Loose =/= lose.

And, being on bed rest myself, I HATE it when I hear other people on bed rest complain about how their DH/SO "didn't get the house clean today" or "he didn't even take out the trash."  He's ONE guy trying to do everything he regularly does PLUS all the stuff you used to do - cut him some freaking slack. Dirty dishes in the sink when you're on bed rest and he needs a break is NOT a reason to pick a fight with your DH. Get over it.

  • Yay, my first UO.

I hate that "Dear Non-Pregnant Person" post.  I think it's rude and obnoxious as all hell.   Pregnant doesn't automatically equal auto-*** in my book.  I especially dislike the way it's signed off "every" pregnant woman.  I definitely don't want to be included.

This! It has been bugging me too!

  • I wish people would stop staring at me everywhere I go like me being pregnant is something absurd. I understand I look young but I am a 26 year old married woman, who just bought a house and is well capable to support the baby.

Yesterday when I was at the hospital for my appt in the elevator and after that at the mall I got so many stares and people looking and judging me and that bothers me.

  • Mine was going to be the loose/lose misspelling! I've thought about it all week! Damn training at work cut into bump time!
