I am having a hard time and the bob is more than I want to spend. Should I just register for the bob and see what happens? I have 2 showers before LO comes and 1 shower after. If no one buys it, what's a good back up?
I've heard great things about the bob, and plan on spoiling myself with it, but before i heard about that one I registered for the jeep one. It looks pretty similar, but is only a little cheaper so I;m interested in seeing what others say too I guess.
I registered for the BOB Revolution 12"AW. This has come highly recommend to me from a new mom and after researching, seems to be the best option for me. The only time that you can use a discount coupon on it is your completion coupon (10% off). I have recieved enough in gift cards to purchase it already but still have another shower next week so I am holding out just in case some people want to go in on it together. If I don't get it I will use the completion coupon and order it the day after my shower.
I actually did get the Jeep one. It had great reviews but I think they recommend not "running" with it. More of a walking/light jog. I liked it because it can be used with infants (and infant car seat) it just recommends that you don't jog with it until LO is about 6m old.

I also registered for the Jeep one--the all terrain to be exact. I was going to buy the BOB but my brother made a good point--we are planning to have at least one more so he said to get the Jeep for now and then buy the double BOB when you have baby #2 since we don't plan on waiting more than 1.5-2 years to have the second baby. This way I can save $150 buy purchasing the Jeep one instead of the BOB. Hope this helps!

This was our thoughts exactly. Got the same one.

OOoo, that's good logic we are planning on starting to try for another LO when this one is just over a year. Go cheaper now and get the nice one later that we can use longer. Never even thought of that. Plus, considering that we got KU the first and only time we ever ttc, it isn't really a gamble that we will have another one.
We have the BOB Revolution and it's awesome. They hold their value really well so I'm not worried about getting my money back when I go to sell it on Ebay and buy a double.
if you're a serious runner, I recommend the Bob. I don't have one but I plan to get one when LO is old enough to ride in it. I hope to find one on craigslist this winter for less than retail.
If you're going to use it as your primary stroller though, maybe you could put it on your registry and people would go in on it (you never know, people like to do that sort of thing!) - or you can use the completion discount if they don't.

We got the bob revolution too. Try finding on on craigslist - even 2-3 years old they really hold their value. So selling your single bob is no problem when you have number 2 and you can upgrade to a double. If you're a runner I've heard great things....and I have it at home and can't wait to put LO in it!

My sister in law gave us her BOB revolution which she has used with two kids now. It is still in great shape (and they are very active outdoors people who used to the stroller on many, many runs.)
I got the BOB Ironman as a shower gift from my MIL...I was thinking nobody would get it for me and I would have to save up for it. I cannot wait to start running again with my little man in it.
We looked at the bob revolution and the baby jogger summit XC. We ended up getting the baby jogger because of it's quick fold feature and it just seemed a bit nicer than the bob. (although I think the bob is nice also)
I HIGHLY suggest finding a place that carries the strollers you want so that you can see and stroll with them, as well as fold them up. That was the clincher for us, the folding was so EASY with the baby jogger. You can basically do it one handed. Also, the wheels come off for storage/transport and it has a hand brake. The bob does not have a hand brake, and I'm not sure about being able to take the wheels off. Other than that, they seem to be very similar.
We will actually use our stroller on trails a lot, which is why we wanted a high quality rugged stroller.
We also looked at the city elite (not rugged enough for us) and the bumbleride indie, which was just too expensive.
Re: Speaking of.. what jogger did you get/register for?
The BOB Revolution 12" AW with the infant car seat adaptor. Most infant car seats (except Chiccos) will fit using this adaptor.
Our second choice jogger was the Baby Jogger City Elite.

We're getting the BOB Revolution
From everything that I've heard it is worth splurging on...
