My sweet girl was born 2 weeks early and wow she was in quite a rush!
We decided to make a trip to L&D because of the bright red discharge I had been having. I had also been having contractions for about two weeks. The nurse checked me when I came in at 12:30am and she said I wasn't dilated at all! Although at my appointment 2 weeks ago I was 2cm (I don't know what happen there)
They told me to walk around for an hour and they'd check me again but if there was no progress I'd probably go home.
About 1:45 am, I was contracting like crazy about every minute and I started
pacing the room. We were thinking we had a
lot of time and then all of a sudden I dropped to my knees, held on the sink
and my water broke! Her head was out before the nurse got there and DH was down behind me
holding on to her head so she wouldn't fall out!! My screaming attracted the attention of the nurses. Somehow I managed to stand up and I walked to the bed supported by the
nurse with DH's hands still between my legs. I laid down and out she
came! I reached down and brought her right to my chest! It was amazing!!! She was born at 2:08 am. 7lbs 3 oz. 20 1/4 in.
Our 3 yr old DD was present for the whole thing and did excellent! She calmly watched from a chair and would come over and give me a hug or help rub my back. She came right over to the bed as soon as Isabella was out and helped cut the cord! She sat next to me in the bed and we talked while Isabella got her first feeding. When it was quiet, Alejandra sang her new sister Happy Birthday! I burst into tears it was so sweet! I couldn't have planned something that sincere!
We are all doing great! I'm so happy with everything and can hardly believe she is here!
Thank you to everyone for all their support!

I'm sure it was scary and intense, but I still think it sounds like a GREAT way to give birth. Fast, natural, and with your family. Woo!
Oh, that was so sweet of Alejandra. I love her.
Congratulations Hollie! Welcome to the world, Isabella! Of course you had to have the most awesome birth story! LOL.
