I'm still a bit in shock from yesterday's u/s. My RE showed us on the monitor and asked us to guess what it was. I saw two sacs, and dh saw two sac, and in unison we said "twins!?!" For a few minutes we were "ewwwing" and "ahhhing", then he said, "wait, how many did we put back? It looks like there's another one in here..."
Triplets it is! We were very shocked given the stats we were given pre-transfer were less than 5%. Our RE was even more shocked given my ama and past issues. The part that upset me was that said that he would recommend that we do SR with triplets. I feel like he should know from past conversations and my written consent, that I would prefer not to do SR (I don't judge anyone who does, and completely understand there are cases where it's neccessary). I told him again at the transfer when he was trying to convince us to put 4 embryos back (I am so happy we chose not to!).
I know this can be a heated topic and I realize that triplets are HOM, but here we are. I really want to be excited, but it's a little difficult when everything our RE said about triplets was neg. and he basically sent us home to think about it...
I've made my decision, and dh has been reading up on triplets today. We both have agreed we're keeping what we've got. We're both still in shock, but happy that all 3 h/bs were strong and measuring 6+ weeks.
Thank you again for all your support!!!

BABS! This is awesome news. I too am not a SR proponent. I say go with your heart. Is there a risk? Sure. But there's a risk with any pregnancy. Take care of yourself, take care of your body, take care of those babies.
After all you've been through you deserve a healthy pregnancy and not to have to worry about your RE's opinion on this topic.
Best of luck to you and congrats x3!

O....M....G!!!!! Babsie I can't not tell you how excited I am for you and your DH!!!!!! I actually yelled "OMG!" at the computer. lol
And I honestly don't know what to say about your RE suggesting SR. Part of me is upset that he doesn't seem to have listened to you when you said you don't want to do it. Another part of me thinks that maybe he is just trying to tell you that mulitples can be higher risk, but he's just not going about it right. No matter what, you and DH get to make the final decision, and if your minds are already made up then the RE should respect that decision.
Congrats to you Babsie and OMG! again!!!! I'm doing a happy dance for you all the way over here!
IT IS A WONDERFUL THING! After trying for so long you are blessed with not one, or two, but THREE little ones!!!
Congrats and keep us posted!

WOW! WOW! WOW! Congratulations! That is just awesome!
Don't even worry about what RE said about SR. He's probably just covering his butt. I know a girl who had quadruplets, and elected against SR. Yeah she spent some time in the hospital, and the babies were in the NICU for a while, but now they're healthy happy 4 yr old quads. It will all work out in the end. GL!

Congrats! I'm sure that must have been shocking, but glad to hear you and DH are on the same page. Like pp mentioned, I'm sure the doctor needs to cover the risks and offer you all the options so you can make the best decision for you.
Hoping for a safe and health pg for you!!
Congrats on your three little miracles and congrats on making a decision that is right for you and your family! H&H9 months sweetie!!!
