Difference between kids movies here and Europe

DH and his family sent us home from Germany last time with lots of German videos. Patrick and I broke into them and started to watch them. In one cartoon, there were two rabits who kissed for a long time. Then she pulled away and pointed to her belly (this was a mostly silent but musical cartoon). It started to get bigger and bigger and the other rabbit brought her baby toys and baby bottles (so you could tell that she was having a baby). Then the rabbit started moaning and groaning and the male rabbit thought she was dying. He laid her down and called a doctor who listened to her belly and motioned to him that she wasn't dying but was in fact in labor.
Then... as the female rabbit was lying there moaning and groaning, you see a hole between her legs start to dilate and dilate and out pops a baby. Then it happens twice more and finally she jumps up and they celebrate the birth of their three babies.
Wow- you would NOT find this in a cartoon from here. Many people would find that obscene! Amazing how different cultures can find things like childbirth and breastfeeding part of life, something to be shared and not made dirty or obscene. I kind of liked it! I mean, that is how it happens and I had no problem with my son seeing that.

That's crazy - you're right - you'd never see that here!
I wouldn't have any problem with my kids watching it but I also didn't see any problem with the 'breastfeeding babydoll' that everyone got their knickers twisted about either :P

Well- the rabbit did make it look easier than it was for me! Maybe for your little girl, you'll lie down, dilate and out she'll pop! You'll jump right up and the 4 of you will dance a happy jig! That will be my wish for you- to be just like the rabbit! :-)
I LOVE german movies. I sat in a hotel one night on a solo backpacking trip, and watched this porn cartoon with guys in chaps (and nothing else) and these snakes that did naughty things, and just cartoon YMCA-like characters, humping away.
It was 5pm on a random hotel TV channel. lol.
Damn- maybe if I could watch stuff like that at the IL's house, that would be more incentive to go over there!! Nearly naked cartoon characters are leaps and bounds over real-life in your face naked FIL characters!!

Personally I don't have any issue with it but I am like Skimmy I'd probably have to leave the room because I'd pee my pants from the laughing at it!

Patrick just took it as it was. He didn't react at all to it. He doesn't know that it is different and I didn't act differently, so he just watched and continued playing on the floor as normal.
