Right now we only put them on her for church...and I am looking for a pair of open toed white sandals that are just white for summer when we are out and about. Other than that I am not too worried about it until she gets closer to walking.

I dont think she would keep them on even if I tried. I think they stayed on long enough foe a pic one time. I am going to wait till she needs the grip/stability when she really starts walking.

LO has "worn" shoes since birth - because we got so many cute little pairs as gifts and hated for them to go to waste. But we still have yet to buy any for function.

I guess I'm a freak but DD has more shoes than I do. I've always kept her feet covered. Last summer, when she was around 2 months old, I got her a pair of white deerskin crib shoes that she wore a lot. At around 3 months old, she got a pair of white Keds and she's gone through about 3 or 4 sizes of the white Keds since then.

This winter she's worn mostly Robeez because they are the only thing that keeps her socks on. I don't love the look of them, but they are functional.

I never really put her in shoes on a regular basis until she was a year. In the winter, she wore socks, or outfits w/ footsies in them. I did have a couple of Robeez style shoes and a pair of my old sandals that I would put her in for special occasions.

I get these comments too! J had a pair of white dress shoes when he was teeny tiny, and a couple pair of "tennis" shoes for the winter...but in all honesty, he mainly wore socks only. I'm wondering what kind of shoes to put him in since he's definitely going to take off and start walking one of these days.
