A question about, ahem, hair (down there)
So, I am curious about how the ladies who are further along have dealt with this issue. I can imagine shaving becomes difficult and waxing would just be too darn painful. What do you do? Have you given up (please say no!)?

Hi Allison! I love that you wonder about this all the time, lol. I hadn't thought about it until recently but now I am totally freaking out. I have been a baldy for a decade. I can't go back!
DH has already volunteered to take care of the situation down there when the time comes that I am unable to reach/see myself. I cannot for the life of me remember how this eventuality came up in conversation.
What a good DH! I may have to solicit help too. I can't decide what my DH will think is worse, having to help or me going au natural.
What a nice DH! I will have to think of another option b/c I don't see my DH going for this at all!
Well at only 22 weeks, I can tell you it is getting very difficult for me. I can still reach, but I can't see! I can manage, but I don't think I'm doing that great of a job. I'm sure as I get bigger, I won't even be able to reach.
DH has already said he may have to take over for me!
OMG it just became the worst issue of my whole life.
So I was doing pretty good when I could still see half of my crotch. I would just blind shave it and go by feeling. I like it bare down there. And yeahhhh that's not so easy anymore. This last time I did it I ended up cutting myself like twice and I can't even find words for how awful of a job I did. I might be able to find a totally inappropriate PIP though. When I checked the damaged in the mirror I laughed and then cried. So I'm gonna invest in a little mirror for next time. Although I don't even know why I am still doing it, my DH wants nothing to do with that area right now. So if the mirror doesn't work, I'm giving up until delivery. Eeeeek not really I couldn't handle it.
What's even worse is that the belly is so big now that it's becoming harder to wipe. You just wait.
I just let it be. I always thought I would shave at the end, but I didnt and I didnt trust DH to take care of business there either. So, I looked like a 70's porn star during delivery. I figured the dr and nurses have seen worse. Too be honest I still havent "groomed" down there b/c I'm scared after the stitches from a vag delivery. I plan on shaving before my 6 wk pp appointment on Monday.
It wasnt worth the effort to me at the time and hasnt impacted my recovery. I will probably do the same thing if I am lucky enough to get pregnant and have another child.
This and how does one clip their toenails with a big baby belly?

My DH wasn't interested in helping so I've been doing my best with little reach infront of the bathroom mirror. Last time was a very bad job and I think it would be better to jsut leave from here out rather than go to delivery with patches.
Toe nails are not so bad, at least I can see them, but I pull my foot up to the side and do them quickly while holding my breath.
So soon I'll be able to bend over again!!!

I just told DH the other day that I'm glad I'll be at my biggest in the summer b/c I struggle with putting on socks. I'm glad I'll only have to slip on flip flops during the summer! I don't know how pg women who have to wear socks get them on!!
I just asked DH if he would be willing to help me, and that he better have a good answer because I'm going to quote him here. So he says:
"Baby, if you need me to shave your coochie-pop, I suppose I have no choice"

I sit on the bathroom counter (over the sink) and use the sideburn trimmer on DH's electric razor (he has two and I confiscated the one he never uses anymore). That's the only way I can see my hoo-ha these days. I didn't worry about it until I knew that I was going to be getting an internal (to check to see if I was leaking amniotic fluid) last time. DH offered to help me shave, but I don't know how I feel about that.
Oh and it's pedicure city around here. I can't even put socks on my feet, let alone clip my toe nails.

Wow I think I'm the only chick on this board that is 100% au natural! I have never shaved, minor trims with scissors only and I haven't even done that in a loooooong time!
But this prompted a conversation about it with DH, where he reveals that he truly doesn't care that my vag is hairy or to what extent! Good to know I guess!

That's a good idea. It seems like even if you couldn't see that well it would cause less cuts than using a razor.

Hmm. I am not a shaver, instead I have been doing regular brazilians for years now. Shaving is done intermittently between waxes, and it's always a painful disaster.
Is there anyone that normally gets bikini waxes/brazilians that has continued? It was a little more painful last time I went (11 weeks) but nothing I couldn't handle.
Get out of my head I was thinking the same thing! And it's not the first time I've mistaken the word pom for porn on this board!!!
