Arm's Reach Co-sleeper question

Do you need some type of waterproof mattress pad/protector or is just a sheet sufficient?  Do you use any other bedding?  (If it makes any difference, we're going with the original because it's twins...)  Thanks!

    We just opened ours the other day, and the mattress has a vinyl cover on it, so we're just going to use a sheet.  Plus the mattress is not all that firm, so I don't want to add an extra layer of padding.  As for other bedding, we plan to just swaddle the baby.

    you shouldn't use any blankets- just the one you swaddle with.

    I was VERY happy with the bedside cosleeper with DS - he started to STTN the week we got ours (around 8w... we sold our Eddie bauer bassinet- i hated it!).
