17w, 5d - should I be feeling movement?

I honestly can't remember when I started to feel movement with B or N, but peoople keep saying you feel it earlier after the 1st one.  Plus, I had 3 people tell me today that they don't think I'm getting bigger - so now I've becoeme paranoid.  On top of that, I moved last weeks appt to tomorrow, b/c we decided to go to Florida at the last minute for spring break.

Hope everyone is doing well.  I need to post pics of Nat's Very Hungry Caterpillar 1st bday party.  It was two weeks ago, then I was sick with strep the rest of the week, then in Florida for over a week.  We're back and getting back into a routine.  Hope to share party and vacation pics soon.

  • I would feel it here and there at that point but nothing consitent.  Also you have been very busy in the past week or so and I found when I was very busy I didn't always pay attention and feel it.  It could still be early depending on where the baby is positioned.

  • with my first, I felt movement for the first time when I was 17 weeks, I got a little worried but he moved.  HOpefully pp is right and you have just been moving around a lot.
  • Do you know if you have an anterior placenta?  I had that with Kate and didn't feel her until 22 wks.  With Ben, I felt him at 19 wks and no anterior placenta.
  • I felt all 3 babies late.  I was always so jealous of the women who started to feel "kicks" at like 14w.  I felt DD#1 at like 18 weeks (nothing big) and then didn't feel her again until 22 w.  DD#2 at 21 w and not again until 24w  and DD#3 close to 20 w.

  • My sister felt her first 2 kids at about 17/18 weeks, but with #3, she said she didn't feel anything until 22 weeks!  FWIW, she was a teeny baby too....not even 6lbs, don't know if that really had anything to do with it...but she def. bucked the assumption that you feel 2nd/3rd etc. babies earlier.  GL to you!

  • I had an anterior placenta and didn't feel DS until 19 weeks.  But I didn't know about the placenta unitl 20 weeks, so I was paranoid as well :)

  • I did not feel movement with this one until I was 20 or so weeks.
  • I felt #1 at 13 weeks and #2 at 15 I think. But #3 I didn't feel properly to closer to 20 weeks! I was beyond paranoid!

I'm sure all is fine. Try not to worry.
