Baby Names

spanish / italian middle name

we are having another boy :)  and are struggling with a middle name.

my dh is spanish, i am italian.  our first son's name is alejandro luis.  our last name rhymes with zero.  we are pretty set on luciano being the first name of this baby (pronounced lou-chee-a-no), but we are struggling with a middle name.  i don't necessarily think we HAVE to have a middle name, but we are trying to come up with one...

i hardly see any spanish or italian name postings, so i'm just throwing this out there and hoping for some suggestions...

gracias!  grazie!

  • just throwing some out there- Francesco (Italian) Fransisco (Spanish) Miquel (Spanish).  haha these are all my Puerto Rican family's name- I have a lot more if you want them
  • Luciano Cruz?

Does your last name have 2 syllables like zero?  I'm trying to think of the flow and how a short or long mn would sound with all 3 names.  I like Cruz if your last name is longer.

  • Luciano Adrian

    Luciano Julian

    Any family names?

  • thanks for all the help!  i think we are leaning towards luciano cruz.  cruz is actually dh's mom's maiden name, and the meaning would be "bringer of light" and "cross".  sounds pretty fitting to me:)
