My 39 week appt is in the morning. It would be nothing short of a miracle if they tell me I can head to L&D, but one can always hope!! Should we put our stuff in the car, just in case?
I am not packing this time until time to go. I brought everything but the kitchen sink last time and regretted it. This time a change of clothes, my toiletries, and my personal breast pump and that is it. Oh, yeah, and DH and the car seat.
I didn't pack until I was in actual labor with Ethan and since Jack was scheduled, I packed that morning, BUT I don't see what it would hurt so if I were you, I'd go ahead and take my bags with me.
Can't hurt--so I would just bring them along. Power of positive thinking--maybe they will send you and you will be glad you brought them. If not, just take them back home--no harm done. Good luck!
I walked in the hospital for painful contractions at 36 weeks with nothing but my purse since my csection was scheduled for 38 weeks....turns out I was in labor. Can't hurt to be prepared.
I'm a little bit OCD and a huge over planner, so mine have been packed for a few weeks. Hehe
Do you have a "bag" or do you have BAGS?? If it's packed then I say bring it. No harm in being ready. But if you have packed a ton of stuff then I say go back through and see what you can leave out. You don't need all that much stuff at the hospital.
Prepared is good! I would bring them since you have them..no need to waste good preparation.
I packed mine a few weeks early too. Good thing too because my water broke at 6am at 39weeks and 2 days with no labor pains as warning signs. I would not have wanted to pack while dealing with that!

I'm gonna play devils advocate and say no. Only b/c if it was me and I brought my bags and they said no progress had been made, see ya next week at your next appt, I would be SO dissapointed and crushed. But that's just me
My basics were in the car at 36 weeks....thank goodness....I had both my babies at 37 weeks on the dot! Hopefully you at least have your car seat installed? The rest is just fluff really.....

Haha I was thinking the same. Or that it would jinx your chances! Hope you have a good appt.
I didn't put the bag in the car and I'm glad I didn't. Doc said babys head is still way up and my cervix is closed for business / I also have a high arch, whatever that means. So looks like no baby for at least another week if not longer.
Oh and yes, car seat is installed! I still get anlittle startled when I look back and see it, lol.
It's funny that you asked this question, because I was wondering the same.
I will be 38 weeks on Saturday and my doctor visit is this Friday.. But- I was already 1 1/2 cm and 70% effaced with his head engaged in my pelvis last Friday.. and have been having Braxton Hicks since... So I feel like I should only because my circumstance is a little different (after reading your above post)... but I'm still questioning!!!!
I guess I should AT LEAST install the carseat, huh? haha
