DD has a cold! Which is better to use?

A humidifier or vaporizer? I bought both this morning at cvs. Dr Sears states Vaporizor but pharmasist said humidifier.

Ant thoughts? thanks

    I used a humidifier and a vicks waterless vaporizer with DS's first cold and they worked wonders. We only have used the vicks when he is really stuffy, but use the humidifier a lot due to the dry heat in our house.
